Except he is a host, as you can see by the after credits scene. I saw a review of the finale, and they said that the man in black was a host, but not the one in the series. What? Not true.

He's tough? He did receive some treatment by the Ghost Nation and Emily. I consider that to be a major plot fail as I consider John McClane being alive at the end of Die Hard. Something things you just have to suspend your disbelief.

Something things you just have to suspend your disbelief. This show is a big fuck up when it comes to such things. Suspension of disbelief has to obey rules, not be a convenience or a cheap source of effect. I can accept that a spaceship travels over the speed of light or that stupid fat lizards can fly (without dumping the bitch on top of them) but what William took should have killed him the same way it killed others. The same way I can accept that Maeve somehow got the technical ability to command hosts through some "mesh network" but not that she told them to kill each other instead of ordering them to join her and help. This was all for the sake of action and gore, as a porn film will twist whatever happens to lead to the desired scenes.

The others weren't receiving treatment by their own daughters and Ghost Nation. Plus people in the real world have survived multiple gunshot wounds. Why not? She isn't trying to save everyone.
