The title of it is called GREENLAND. Something to do with global warming maybe?

Really disappointing that he goes from teasing original sci fi projects to doing a disaster flick?

The characters, especially, made me want to die. A disaster flick just sounds generic and if it’s about global warming, I have no issue, but it’s Blomkamp so the message will be like a hammer to the balls.

I liked Elysium better than most but man, that was a nuke to the nuts. I mean this is science fiction we're talking here! If a movie has a message but doesn't want to hold the audience's hand when delivering it, that's the genre to go!

This is now a Gerard Butler starring vehicle from the director of Angel Has Fallen. And the premise is about several irregular fragments from an asteroid that start out as excitement for the human population and then transforms into absolute fear and panic as they prove to be capable of apocalyptic impacts. And several prominent people are secretly heading to an underground, state of the art, bunker that will ensure survival - of which Butler tries to get his family to.
Movie looks okay at best, Gerard Butler's charismatic and Morena Baccarin is always a delight to see and watch on screen but I don't think it will do particularly well come August given the amount of crap 2020 has brought upon us so the idea of seeing a disaster movie probably won't gel well with most people. I will say naming the asteroid 'Clarke' is a clever idea, paying tribute to Arthur C. Clarke.

Josh Trank flamed out in pretty spectacular fashion.
