of the third act of Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace?
Not a criticism, by the way.

After the Last Jedi, Phantom Menace is pretty much the closest Star Wars ever got towards making a good movie.

eh, because obviously they use a similar battle on green fields scenario. That paired with energy shield protection, and the warriors having big plasma shields to protect themselves. Also, it's tribal warriors fighting with weird high-tech gimmicks and riding on CGI aliens (or were these supposed to be rhinos in Panther?). It's pretty blatant.

Darth Maul allone would slice all the Avengers in pieces before Duel of the Fates has completed its run. Heck, even Jake Skywalker could take a Porg-sized dump on MCU without even moving his bum-ass via Force projection.

Black Panther is very similar to Jar Jar and Shuri is Captain Tarples.

Black Panther is very similar to Jar Jar and Shuri is Captain Tarples. Panter vs Killmonger also reminded me of the Apes2 dynamic between Cobra and Caesar:
The bad guy with racial hate/abuse history attacks the leader, who falls into an abyss, and the bad guy takes over the leadership to start a war. The leader miraculously survives with his friend's help, secretly regenerates with some family character development and confronts the bad guy in final battle.
Funny, the talking Apes movie was less silly than the one with humans.

It reminded me of the argument between Ozone and Turbo in Breakdance.

Do you guys just intentionally have terrible taste? Although I have serious problems with certain elements of The Phantom Menace it was, from a fantasy world building perspective, a creative tour de force.

I never thought I would see the day when a group of people would think that The Phantom Menace is the best Star Wars movie. I guess when you love movies like Suicide Squad and Batman vs Superman, this should not come as a surprise.

of the third act of Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace? Not a criticism, by the way. An epic duel interspersed by a generic many-on-many battle? Black Panther is the inverse of that: an epic many-on-many battle interspersed with a generic duel.

Nah, tons of people loved The Phantom Menace back in 1999, and the bullshit notion that it was universally despised is revisionist history aggressively propagated by neckbeard Gen-X turds.

You guys constantly complain about DC Fan needlessly knocking the MCU and its fans and then you all do the same thing in reverse. This thread isn't meant to put down BP or the MCU. Your insult is unwarranted. INNIT?
