Yes the results are alarming, and yes I 100% agree it's even worse in an institution that claims morality. I think as you say the stats are a bit out of whack though. I agree with that. The problem with the stats is that they conflate a few things, like focussing on non-ordained people, or alleged vs. factual. Pedophilia happens in institutions where grown-ups have power over impressionable children, like schools and religious organizations. When you add a hierarchic theistic worldview, it's no surprise that religions with strong hierarchical authorities attract pedophiles, who know they will have access to impressionable children indoctrinated from their parents.

I agree with this. The problem with stats in matters like this is that they can only ever be a tool to try and identify a problem and not accurately quantify it, for the reasons you stated. However, in cases like a Royal Commission, the raw figures are what is important. 1880 priests identified, many with multiple offences out of a small (relatively) pool of priests and consecrated individuals MUST be cause for alarm ADDED to now by the proof of coverups by those in authority such as Philip Wilson, with his conviction in a court of law.

Yeah I would think that statistically speaking the church has a slightly higher rate, 1000% seems a bit much though, I mean if we assume that pedophiles are 1% of the population (which is way high) and they all join the church, that still can't be an increase if that proportion.
