I'm actually looking forward to it but, it's Antman and the Wasp people, not the Crying Game. Unless Ghost is actually a man.

Before clicking the link I thought "what dumb reason do they want to do this for". I was totally unaware the UK was getting the film a month later than the US! Damn.

Yeah I became aware of this somewhat recently. Originally UK was supposed to get it on June 29th but then they suddenly pushed it back to August 3rd.
It's because of the World Cup though.
It's for the same reason why they bought Jurassic World forward weeks before US. I'm looking forward to that movie a lot more so it works out alright for me.

So Kevin Feige got scared that Ant-Man & the Wasp would be a flop going up against the World Cup so he moved Ant-Man & the Wasp to avoid competing head-to-head against the World Cup?

Let's not do the trolling, especially as I just said that the sequel to the $1.6 billion earning Jurassic World is moving forward to escape the World Cup as well.

I'm just asking a question. And moving up a release date isn't due to being scared. It's usually due to a movie finishing production ahead of schedule. Wonder Woman finished its production ahead of schedule so WB moved Wonder Woman's release date 3 weeks earlier than it was originally scheduled.

Yeah I'm sure the move to the weekend when the biggest release was Captain Underpants, from a weekend where it would have to compete with Transformers 5 or Despicable Me 3 was pure coincidence, rather than gifting the public the film early

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom releases on June 22 in the US but between June 6 to June 8 in Europe so they have a headstart on the World Cup. Jurassic World was one of the biggest movies ever and they still moved it out of the way for the World Cup. It has been done for many movies for obvious reasons including Ant-man.

Aquaman's release was delayed until December because WB were afraid of The Girl in the Spider's Web.

Delaying its release in the U.K. by a month because of the World Cup is absolute bullshit, and the rest of the world keep their release dates despite the World Cup. England won't even make it that far anyways.

England won't even make it that far anyways. I think it will damage the box office in the UK. People will watch the bootleg version instead.

What do you say to that?

England will probably lose in the 1st knockout round, while the movie will be spoiled for them all over the internet. Pushing it back a month is a weak decision.
