Naturally, any homicidal maniac claims he is the victim of abuse.
A big problem with our society is that we are in the darkest ages of Psychiatry. Psychiatrists love to appease bullies and mobs by saying the bullies are victims, and the victims are guilty.
Been there, done that. There are hidden disabilities, but absolutely none are correctly diagnosed that I have seen. Psychiatrists and psychologists want to get out of their office in one piece, and have their cars safe when they leave work, so they placate gang members by allowing them to be called "victims", and giving them anything they want.
In order to keep statistics in the proper number, they then deny truly troubled people.
I was on a jury where everyone under the age of 50 insisted that the victims were guilty and the bullies were victims. That's a generalization, but 50 is probably the good turning point for most people to realize that big business should not infringe on human rights.
It should be a law that no one under 50 should ever serve on a jury, especially not a civil case. Right wing corporate types like to lie about this, but they would hate to see this become a law.
Now, the school shooters. No doubt we'll have bozos believe the homicidal maniacs were "victims of abuse". I've been a victim of abuse, and remember it quite well.
Fact is, everyone gets some abuse. A real "victim of abuse" is one with no place to turn. For us, it was teachers, peers, parents, everyone. In fact, my parents were abused, and believed they needed to cow down to abusers and be that way. I felt that way myself.
But no victim of real abuse, a victim who gets it from every direction, can possibly have the means to get firearms. Someone has to help somewhere. The homicidal maniac is not "abused". He simply has a few people he can't control and play God over.

Not all homicidal maniacs are the same.
Not all psychiatrists are the same.
Not all psychologists are the same.
