It's so amusing that the right constantly tried to pretend that the left thought Obama was some kind of messiah.
As always, accuse your enemy of doing what you yourself do.

I do not know if that is legal in California, as it blocks the rear window.
The last I looked, there was "SOME" freedom of speech remaining in this country.

I am sorry if I sound rude but at this moment America is a laughing stock of the world. It's like the thing in that Hans Christian Andersen's story in which the emperor is wearing no clothes. Like Trump is visible to everyone and yet there people pretending otherwise. Sorry, but taste of American people sucks.

But others also have freedom of speech and have the perfect right to mock this absurd and ridiculous display. Why do conservatives continue to claim that freedom of speech only applies to themselves and everybody else has to keep their mouths shut no matter how hateful, bigoted, and delusional the conservative speech is?

So this is what it is like to live in the USA, where there is some freedom of speech. If that offends your sensibilities, then you are welcomed to leave the USA and move to a country that shares your thoughts.

I don't care for you, mikef6, and I think you know why, but agreed this time. There are some delusional people out there. In their minds they've made Trump into a Biblical hero. He is being compared to King Cyrus. It is silly in my opinion, and I think the people who do stuff like this are setting themselves up for a major letdown.

They're had "We're #1" propaganda forced on them for so many years that it's very hard to accept the truth, and one of those truths being that we have no money. We have trillions in debt and no money to pay it off, so we just keep accruing more debt in order to keep the country functional. As for Trump, yes, but every time I try to visualize Hillary Clinton being less of an embarrassment on the world stage, the picture just isn't coming in.

I think it's a mistake to think that people like this believe that Trump will accomplish anything or make anything better. All he needs to do is not be a liberal, and the media they consume will assure him that everything he does is a major win. I'm reminded of the Trumpanzee I heard the other day who was asked if there was anything Trump could do that would cause him not to vote for him again. He said "Not build the wall. "So if there's no wall by the next election, he loses your vote?" the interviewer asked. "Well, that depends. Not if it's the liberal's fault." And that's how Trump will run. He's accomplished little he said he would, but it will all be because of those nasty liberals, and you need to vote republican even more so we can beat them! 50/50 whether it works, is my guess.

Less than half of us, max; remember, he lost the popular vote but won the electoral college vote. And yes, we see the absurdity of all this, but none of his fellow republicans are going to go against him. The emperor with no clothes is the perfect analogy for Trump sycophants. Yes we are the laughing stock of the world and we don't like that, but unless Congress does it's job for America instead of lining their own pockets, what can normal, individual citizens do? If you have a workable plan, please share it with us.

After a bit of reflection I believe it was impolite of me to say that taste of American people sucks (although I didn't mean to come across as mean; I just hate politicians and the fact that people choose corrupt people). So please accept my apologies.
I have not lived in American so I do not understand why politics of America is so rife with corrupt people. That said I do believe that certain changes in education system can make some differences. I also believe it's not just about system but also about motivation. I come from a poor country where only those people are not well educated who cannot afford education. But almost everyone is motivated to seek education. America is rich country and even the most unskilled work can provide a good quality of life and that's why many Americans are not motivated to attain a good quality of Education. But that hurts America. Most of the people who are easily swayed by politicians or are prone to believe in false promises are usually the ones who are not so well educated. But the most disturbing thing about the current situation of America is that those people who voted for Trump already knew while voting that he was making empty promises. It seems as if even after knowing that they were electing a very corrupt candidate they had no remorse.

Sorry, but that doesn't make a lick of sense. You want freedom of speech only for conservatives. I say that everyone, even those who talk back to conservatism, has free speech. Then you tell ME to go somewhere else? You're the one who wants to limit who can speak. If you want to sail away, I'll send a nice fruit basket to your stateroom. BTW, you misquoted me. The first letter "I" is not in my statement.

No apology needed; if you don't live here, this whole thing is a mystery. Even those of us who didn't vote for Trump can't believe how so many people were conned by this man. And it was a con; he said things they wanted to hear, mirrored their biases and prejudices - honestly, I've been shocked by how many people are behaving badly now that we have a president that behaves badly. And he is just in it for lining his own pockets and that of his fellow wealthy supporters. Education would help, but the government keeps cutting the budget for education and disadvantaged areas are essentially neglected. We had eight years of a president (GWB) that was ineffective but not as flamboyantly stupid as this one, then eight years of a president (Obama) that had to clean up the mess left by his predecessor, that Congress tried to impede. I truly felt that Barack Obama was a president of the people, and he tried to improve citizens' quality of life. I was feeling good about the direction we were going and then this... sick circus... came to town and it has been a freak show ever since. There are long-standing underlying cultural issues that are a component and many other issues involved, but be assured, it is obvious to many that this... president... is unqualified and unfit. But getting him out is no easy matter, and our only hope is that evidence will be shown to indict him and remove him, or that our system of checks and balances will restrict him from causing too much harm. And hopefully the Democrats will find a candidate that is strong enough to bring people back to their senses, and get us going forward again.
