From the early 1990s all the way up to the present. Damn, they ignored the writer of Se7en after he wrote Se7en? I think Walker's script could have worked in the late 90s (obviously not after 2001) as a superhero version of that weird trend of nineties blockbusters that were all disaster movies.

I would have love to see James Cameron's X-Men.
When people tell me james cameron hate comic book movies. they need to look at his history.
he nearly made an xmen movie, co-writing the script with his wife. he was a producer of spiderman 1. thanks to him, we got organic webs which was good. he was a creative consultant for DOFP. He spoke about the artistic and original style of deadpool.
Usually most people who tend to hate mcu movies like cameron, nolan or mangold also end up with excellent comic book movies that demand respect. no doubt Cameron would have done good with xmen

The Magneto movie wasn't a bad idea. Definitely wish James Cameron made an X-Men film.

There was too much Wolverine is recruited... Yeah the amount of Wolverine focus projects was ridiculous. Downside when a character is really popular.

What gets me is that there are so many movies with the Wolverine-type character of the group, but he's not even the main character. He might be a stand out for having some sassy one liners, but it's always the Schwarzeneggers and such that's the lead (Jesse Ventura was the "Wolverine" of Predator).
