There is a legal way to immigrate to the United States. The laws are for the good of everyone including the immigrants. There is a legal way to merge onto a highway. Those laws are also for the good of everyone including the people merging into traffic on the highway.
As wonderfully rich as the United States is in space and resources, even now we are beginning to see the limits of that. When more people want something than there is to go around there has to be some process for deciding who gets what portions.
That is a mathematical reality. If you can multply loaves and fishes then do that, and stop stealing other people's loaves and fishes.

Some folk do not have the option of going the legal route, and when faced with an unbearable future alien to most Westerners, particularly when children are involved, the risks will be deemed worthy.

As a Christian , I don't care if someone is a refugee.
However, I don't link that notion to US law, so it doesn't mean much.

Except that those who use the "just enforcing the law" excuse for human abuse are also dead set against ever changing the law or even talking about it. Law has nothing to do with anything when it comes to right-wing opposition to receiving refugees. It is pure White Supremacy. Conservatism is the political philosophy of bigotry, hate, and rage.

If you can multply loaves and fishes then do that, and stop stealing other people's loaves and fishes. We could easily accomodate a much, much larger population than we presently have. We'd simply need much smarter development, smarter civil engineering, far more reasonable, non-capitalistic management of resources.
