He's actually a professor of psychology conducting a lengthy experiment on the behavior of humans when confronted with opposing beliefs.
Think about it. His work here would make for a phenominal case study! How many Marvel fans have become single mindedly obsessed with him? Even to their own destruction? And all he had to do to achieve this was post an extreme viewpoint opposite to theirs. This work would be pedestrian and obvious if conducted in a political discussion board, but to see it play out on a comic movie sub board is a darkly absurd commentary on human nature.
What Doctor DC Fan has accomplished here is truly illuminating!
Innit?

And all he had to do to achieve this was post an extreme viewpoint opposite to theirs. Innit? But, is that all he's done? Is he really just sharing "extreme viewpoints" or, is it something a bit more sinister? What if I speculated that your mother was a pedophile because she touched your penis when you were a baby? You and I see that statement as a gross distortion that relies heavily on a mother being required to interact with her child's private parts to groom and clean her amphibious son. And yet, DC-Fan would take a similarly inane thesis and use it to render all MCU fans as supporters of heinous crimes. In his warped mind, we're unpatriotic pederasts who not only condone but, preach the virtues of dishonesty and lawlessness. I guess it's up to the reader to decide ultimately; however, I have to say that if you don't see DC-Fan's post for the toxic mudslinging that it is, I have no choice but to question your motives --- and your intelligence. It's no coincidence that the word "extreme" can be linked to radicalism, fundamentalism and fanaticism. The human animal tends to react to the extreme with the extreme. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who follows the news or has to live in the real world.

But this is often the case in political discussions as well. It's the response that is most interesting. It is actually quite easy to ignore DC Fan if you want to. He usually stays in his own threads or only posts once on other threads. Yet many posters here have fixated on him none the less. Note, also that his threads often get 5+ pages of replies while many on topic threads get two replies at most. Note, also that some users come here ONLY to reply to him. Like King Kong Brady for instance. The varying extemism of his threads is merely a method to push the hypothesis towards its ultimate conclusion. Professor DC Fan will one day present the world with his remarkable thesis! Innit?

What Doctor DC Fan has accomplished here is truly illuminating! Innit?(1) Godawlmighty, you little stinker, you! I’m jealous now—but it’s BRILLIANT! How could I have neglected this solution in my multipartite analysis before? Experiencing the shame that all Watsons go through, I suppose. (2) I wonder if Prof. Donald C. Fanne actually repeated the experiment on many different discussion boards, thus bolstering his case. (3) I’m curious as to how he’ll describe this very thread in his write-up. (4) Mystery writer Helen McCloy once wrote a near-identical plot once based on a real psychological study, so all this is possible...
