I said the same exact thing when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker. If Wiig ends up dead, I'm blaming you. That's ALMOST funny. The punch is taken off the joke because it would mean Wiig's death, which I don't want. I'll just laugh... on the INside.

I really like Ezra Miller. His arc was clean and free from bloat;plus he wanted to become a superhero. And lenlenlen1 I told Arch this way before his meltdown regarding Ares' film portrayal. There was a reason for that downgrade in capability. The novelization apparently explained that he was weaker than normal as Sir Patrick. So when he confronted Diana in the climax, he intended to siphon her strength then kill her. Which of course backfired on him. It's unrefined but it'd explain why he was beaten by Diana.

Emo? Are we really going to go there, especially when he was the movie’s comic relief? How was he an emo? I understand your points about Miller, but we'll have to agree to disagree. I had my reservations about him too when I found out he was cast, but it turned out ok and I was glad to be wrong. I thought he was one of the few bright spots of the whole movie.
Yes, they played him differently, but to great effect as comic relief. I can almost already see what a solo movie with him as Flash would be like.
I think it was most likely a conscious decision to play him different since there's a very popular TV show on right now that shows a different, maybe more accurate(?), version.
Many people said the same thing about Gal Gadot in BvS. Some of the complaints were that her acting was wooden and she didn't look the part. Now after seeing WW, many have reversed their previous position. Miller did a decent job in JL. I think when Flashpoint comes out we'll have a better idea if Miller was right for the role.

Nah, Gadot may have had her haters but she also had quite a number of supporters (I was one of them). On the other hand, I don't recall many people looking forward to Miller as Flash.

My bet is Cheetah will be the main physical antagonist and Circe will be the big bad.

Looks like Wiig to me. But seriously, she's been drawn at least a dozen different ways in the comics, so I can't say that someone doesn't look enough like her. She's a female an she's not fat, after that it's all a matter of acting.

Sounds like Batman Forever. And The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Oh jesus... Neither the Riddler nor Electro were friends of the hero. Riddler wanted to be Bruce Wayne. They even had a scene with him dressing like him and following his mannerisms.

Is Cheetah supposed to be Wonder Woman's main enemy? Batman has Joker and Super had Lex Luthor but Wonder Woman never seemed to have a main enemy that's well known. Classically speaking it is Cheetah. They even used her as the main villain in the Super Friends cartoon and Justice League Unlimited cartoon as her main villain, thus pretty much cementing it in stone.
BUT, since the 1980s Post Crisis on Infinite Earths George Perez reboot of her title (the beginning of her modern and current interpretation) the main villain has been more a bounce between Ares and Circe.
And furthermore, since the more recent New 52, it has definitely been Ares.
My preference, and WW's true best challenge, has always been Circe. Cheetah is too weak to be a real challenge and Ares is a freaking god for crying out loud. In the comics she's never beat him the way she did in the movie. That "godkiller" thing was something they gave her in the movie so she'd logically have a chance against him.
Circe is just the right amount of challenge. Not weak at all, and just powerful enough to beat Wonder Woman, but not insurmountably so. If this franchise earns a 3rd movie I'd be surprised if they didn't use Circe as the main villain.
They use Cheetah on those shows because they put Cheetah on the Legion of Doom. Can't really see Circe and Ares as a member of that team.

And I'm willing to bet they didn't mean friend as in a person Diana hangs out with. Just a person she isn't fighting or is friendly to her. You can say that Sir Patrick was a friend that became a foe in Wonder Woman. Even Nygma was on Bruce's side in the beginning until he got fired and hated him.

Just because it says "friend" doesn't mean they were BFFs and had a falling out. It just says that "Cheetah" wants to be like her then decides she wants to be more than her. If they are all buddied up and sharing coffee at whatever place was around before Starbucks expanded, then I'll gladly say I was wrong.

Should have been Kat as Cheetah grrrr. Wigg is skinny and isn't hot. Patty Jenkins sucks at casting first we got that weakling who thinks hes the god of war and now Wigg as Cheetah. If she wanted a comedian to play Cheetah she could have at least cast a hot one like Anjeliah Johnson, abby elliot or the blonde chick from reno 911 Gadot is miscast too, can't act and 20 pounds to skinny, ironically several of the actresses playing Amazons look physically stronger than her.

I see people talking about Ezra as Flash. He was miscast too l. Barry is no Alpha Male but still drawn as Handsome. Hes the good looking smart type Ezra looks like a skinny Kylo Ren. I could see him as a young riddler

I agree with the Ares casting criticism but disagree with your criticism on Gadot. She might be slim but she handles fight scenes better than any other non-martial artist actress I know of... and in the end that's what counts. Doesn't matter how muscular she is if she can't convincingly move like she knows what she's doing. She managed to strike a great balance between looking badass while still looking feminine. As for the acting, well, her critical and audience reception should speak for themselves. And as for Dennings... maybe if they were casting for a character named "Jaguar" instead of "Cheetah" you'd have a point. Though for what it's worthy, I don't see how she could be any worse than Wiig.
