I'm five episodes in, and enjoying it quite a bit. This is my second favorite Marvel Netflix series behind JJ.

No. I haven’t finished Luke cage season 1 or the defenders.

I just finished and it was VERY good. Much better than the first season. This is one of the rare times with these shows that the 13 episodes did not drag.

I thought season 1 was a bore and I didn't like the first episode of season 2, either. I'll watch a few more episodes and drop it if it doesn't improve. I enjoy the character of Luke Cage and his supporting cast, but the story itself is stale. The villains are generic gangsters and there's no real internal struggle for Luke. For example, Daredevil struggles with the morality of his actions, Jessica Jones struggles with addiction and mental trauma, and Punishers copes with extreme PTSD. Luke believes in himself and what he's doing; the best the writers can come up with is him not wanting to profit off his own name (which is just dumb). And let me just say... I hate Shades. The character sucks, the actor sucks, the name sucks. Shades. He wears sunglasses and his name is Shades. I don't care if he's in the comics, he sucks. He fucking sucks.

I actually like it better than S1. It's faster paced, has better action and I find the villain a lot more interesting.

I'm only 1 episode in but I'm loving it so far. I have watched all of the Marvel Netflix shows and I'm not going to miss this one.

Well I love Shades and think he is one of the best characters so we can agree to disagree there. I was slightly bored with the first three episodes or so, even though it was very well done, but as the season went on I was hooked. There are so many great characters and the season FAR surpassed season one IMO.

I watched a review on youtube that pretty much spoiled everything but made it sound a lot better than what I've seen so far. I'll stick with it and see what happens.

Can ya name the channel so I'll know to avoid them? I don't remember but it's easy to avoid. It was one of those 'what does the end of Luke Cage season 2 mean?' videos. I don't normally watch those, but I wasn't planning on watching the rest of the season until I found out it picks up eventually. Just avoid videos with "Luke Cage season 2 ending," in the title and you should be safe.

The title says it's going to be a spoiler vid. And it saying it's going to explain the ending is not a review video.

I didn't complain that they spoiled it; I specifically watched it to find out what happens since I didn't plan on watching the rest of the show. So yeah, the review spoiled everything which is what I was looking for in this case.

I do think Luke Cage S2 is better than Jessica Jones S2.

It was more a video wiki. Also, not upset. Well, not about what you said anyway.

But I wasn't mad about being spoiled so I didn't even think about it that way. 'Video summary' I guess would be the term, or perhaps 'spoiler review.' Anyway, I'm glad I watched it because it convinced me to stick with the show even though I know what's going to happen. As it stands, I already liked episode 2 much more than episode 1.
