From the editor for REVENGE OF THE FANS. Sounds cool but I'll believe it when they say it.
TEXT:
Revenge of the Fans editor in chief Mario-Francisco Robles was recently on the El Fanboy Podcast and he claims that DC wants Henry Cavill in attendance for San Diego Comic-Con. Could this be for the long awaited announcement of Man of Steel 2? Cavill has teased his return to the role a few times over the last handful of months. He revealed that there have been some pretty "big" talks about the sequel back in April, and just last week he teased a return to Superman strength on social media.
While an appearance by Henry Cavill at Comic-Con could be for the announcement of Man of Steel 2, DC could also want him there for another reason, which is to introduce the Shazam! trailer with David F. Sandberg and presumably Zachary Levi as well. Another rumor that has been going around for months is that Cavill has a cameo in Shazam!, but that has yet to be confirmed by anyone officially. Plus, that seems like the type of thing that the studio would want to keep secret for as long as possible.

I've long since lost tracked of all the movies that have been announced or rumoured for the DCEU now.
They need to release a concrete schedule.

Is mathew vaughn still interested in directing? As of last March, that's the rumor.

I've long since lost tracked of all the movies that have been announced or rumoured for the DCEU now. They need to release a concrete schedule. Or stop trying to get a public consensus. If they are going to announce things, wait until the movie is about to start filming. At least until they get a handle on things.

How will they resurrect a dead Clark Kent? Or are they just dispensing with that aspect of the mythology? I sense a high-speed trip around the globe coming on. Hee hee hee...

Needs the classic costume and villains like Metallo and Parasite. With a lot of villains, you know they will have Lex be the main villain that creates the one Superman fights throughout the movie (Metallo, Parasite, Bizarro). Probably only Brainiac.

I hope they don't just call it "Man of Steel 2"

I hope they don't just call it "Man of Steel 2" Last Son of Krypton and introduce Supergirl? There's a big kick to introduce female superheroes so you know they are considering it.

I hope they don't just call it "Man of Steel 2" I would call it 'Man of Tomorrow' and the third film 'Last Son of Krypton' as ThatGuy suggests. I would have the villain be Lex Luthor with either Metallo or Parasite as his henchmen;maybe include Bizarro as a failed first experiment turned good guy. But that might make it bloated like BVS. For the third film, I definitely think they should introduce Supergirl (as a possible replacement for Superman if Cavill's contract expires or whatever). I'd introduce her and Argo City as a plot element (perhaps as a refugee allegory) then feature Mongul and Brainiac as the villains.

Calling it Last Son of Krypton and then having a lot of Kryptonians plus introducing Kara would be a very ironic title. lol
I like the idea that Lex would try to create something better than Superman. A man of tomorrow if you will. All 3 of those villains would work for that. Bizarro being the new and improved Superman (doesn't look like him so can use a different actor) who's body and mind starts to break down. Rudy Jones, who shows promise, but turns into this vampire being needing more biological energy. Metallo less so because he's a known criminal.

I hope they don't just call it "Man of Steel 2" That wouldnโt make much sense, given that BvS was MoS 2.
