He was a sorry individual. I never cared for him.

McCartney's Let Me Roll It on the album Band on the Run tells a story, as does Her Majesty on the album Abbey Road.

Mixed feelings.
As an artist, he was perhaps the best ever. Usually, those "horrible people" aren't full of inspiration, but John was. Number Nine Dream is the most fantastic work ever by any artist. Instant Karma is the definitive rock song. Mind Games, Oh Yoko, Give Peace a Chance, Merry XMas War is Over, so many classics that Imagine isn't even one of his ten best, though it would be the best for most artists.
Add Paul to the mix, perhaps the second greatest composer ever, but with Paul you get a positive feel, like someone who wants to be part of the loving solution instead of the problem, whereas John wanted to be not a "solution", but another problem.
I didn't go to the link, because back in the seventies, I read all the biographies, including the one by Epstein. John was just pretty mean. I don't know if his soul was mean, but he was. He was in a position of grand stewardship, to be just as good a loving steward as Paul, but he chose to be negative too much.
He used to start fights with other Quarrymen to bounce them out of the group. He did like Stu, though, and Stu just had physical problems that led to his departure from the group.
Then there's the famous song duel. We know that Paul used "Uncle Albert" and John used "How Do You Sleep" addressed to each other (not very subtle "all you did was 'yesterday'" lol). Others I always suspected are John's Steel and Glass and Paul's Magneto and Titanium Man. I envision Paul using Magneto and Titanium man for himself and Ringo, and Crimson Dynamo for George, John's favorite room mate, telling him Yoko wasn't an angel, and John refusing to believe it. Other songs seem like they could be partly based on the feud.
It is highly unusual for control freaks to be big on inspiration, so John looked to bounce around between his personalities.
EDIT: Just looked at the link. Most are spot on, especially about his conformist political views. However, # 4 and 5 are obviously way off and jealous ravings of his super talent. I suspect a musician wrote the piece, because they mention his guitar playing ability as opposed to his creative ability. We the people, who aren't eaten up with how skillful a person is on mechanics, don't care if his guitar mechanics weren't as good as others. It's his creation. The songs I mention are truly master pieces. I agree that Strawberry Fields and Come Together are his inferior works, and actually both are ranting nonsense bits, but his great works are great works. He was a copy cat in politics and his ramblings, but his Art was genuinely the most innovative and original. None of his true classics, maybe his top ten, do any copying whatsoever, and are totally in a league of their own.

I think nratmey spears is worse person Arrogant child abuser she is wors . Because she doesn't care about anything At least .. John did and also admitted he wasn't perfect and was violent and not the peacful man he would like to be. So despite his temper and arrogance bratney is still much worse person (than any of them!) Bratney is a piece of shit and threw herbabies on their heads and left Sean with concussion for a month and was charged with neglect and physical abuse And she is nastay..see her on x factor? I don't think john wooda acted like that and at least he wanted to be better I think. And could admit how he was n seemed to care about the world. Bratney doesn't. I Have seen selfish people but she is worst I ever seen You make some good points there. However, has "Bratney" Spears ever sang a song about loving children or about how to make the world a better place in any kind of way? Think that is the whole point of the article. John Lennon writes this song, that is pretty much filled with Communist type ideology on how to make a better world, yet, he himself never followed a single lyric of it, even though they were his own words!!!

If the song Imagine took human form and ate a Tide Pod, you'd have Justin Trudeau.
