is the greatest Indian test batsman ever is like saying that Ken Barrington is the greatest England batsman ever.
But then most Dravid fans would probably go, Ken Barrington who?
Which amply proves my point.

Lolwut. Dravid is nothing like Barrington. Gavaskar-SRT-Dravid are the Hobbs-Hammond-Hutton equivalent of Indian cricket. One can make a case for any one of them being the best.

Ken Barrington used to score runs very consistently. And he used to play a lot of balls. He probably saved England many test matches when the more flamboyant and attacking batsmen in the side failed. And he actually had a much higher test average than them while doing so (unlike you know who).
So, the man deserves some respect. At least from Dravid fans.
