What's that supposed to be? An article printed in a cynical Australian newspaper.

So... I'm unsure what this post is supposed to accomplish? I am assuming you are not trolling as before...a slightly humourous, cynical article pointing out an extreme position, a bit like an allegory, though not directly. It is a 'genuine' article exemplifying a ridiculous ironic situation that women find themselves in.

She really should be driving. I mean she’s 27...and a kilometer sounds far.

I still don't get it. ( i do know it's not a real story but)...
She took a walk in a safe neighborhood that had never known violent crimes. What's the risk she took? I don't think i've seen men berate women for doing something considered safe even if the unfortunate happened.
Had she (fakely) taken a walk down a street known for violence where women were regularly attacked and raped or killed (or just people in general were attacked and killed) would you not if you were her pretend friend berate her? I would.
Just as I would call her stupid for drinking and driving, or drinking and passing out at a frat party, at any party, or leaving her keys in the car, or jumping out of a plane with a parachute.
There are things that are dangerous to do, and if you know them in advance be you a man or a woman or even a child it is stupid to risk yourself when you have no reason to.
Some people do not have a choice of walking a dangerous path home alone and fear for their lives every time they do it, I think this "article" makes light of that fact. Thing is paths that are dangerous for women because they might get rape or killed are also dangerous to men for while they won't get raped they will get attacked also because it's about violence.
What that article fails to take into consideration is the fact that the women who was killed encountered someone with violent tendencies and to paint all men with the same brush is dishonest.
Edited to add: Most infanticides are comitted by women should we similarly warn children about their mothers?

What's that supposed to be? It's a comedy piece based on a feigned misunderstanding of what "precaution" refers to.
