So you all know, I disliked the movie because Ragnarok in comics was more like LOTR and I felt Disney dumbed it down but to the level headed MCU fans, how do you actually feel about the movie? name your pros and cons

There's a bunch of stuff that I didn't like about it. Thor screaming like a girl. Korg joking about Asgard's destruction. Etc.
That said, it's still probably the most fun MCU movie made.

I thought the film going down the Guardians of the Galaxy road, in regards to humour and campiness, was wrong. Thor, for me, should be what he is supposed to be: The God of Thunder, not jokes. I couldn't really feel sad about Asgard ending because of the jokiness of the whole film.

It's easily my favorite Thor movie, and maybe my favorite in the entire MCU. Admittedly, it did have a couple of moments that were too "jokey" (Korg's joke during Asgard's destruction was pretty jarring), but those instances were at a minimum. I can't remember a recent movie that was just such a pure pleasure to watch. I never read any of the comics (and I'm unapologetic about it), so I can just sit back and enjoy the movies for what they are, without the burden of comparing them to their source materials.

Pretty fun movie. Also pretty good. Yes a few emotional moments were messed up by the comedy but I think the humor was some of the best the MCU has had. The scenes with Odin were emotional and not ruined by a joke. I would say the only really bad offender was Korgs bit of humor after Asgard was destroyed. After rewatching it again yesterday I liked it even more. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.

Overall, I really liked it. IMO, it's only second best in the trilogy (next to the original) but it's still very enjoyable. The humour works well for the most part, and the way they handled the characters was good, especially for Hulk.

Overall I think it is a good movie, but it has problems. I liked it more on my second viewing.
Pros:
- Great action scenes
- Good character arcs for Thor and Loki
- Heimdall was awesome in it
- Good use of the Hulk
- A lot of the jokes were legitimately funny
- Good emotional moments
- Good set up for Infinity War
- Great aesthetic and great music
- Hela, The Grandmaster, and Surtur were entertaining villains
Cons:
- Too many jokes. The first MCU movie where I felt that it was a problem. Especially since it was about Ragnarok
- The scene where Odin dies and Hela shows up was poorly done
- Too much time spent on Sakaar
- I found Valkyrie annoying
- The way they killed off the Warriors Three was pathetic
- Thor finding out "Odin" was Loki was poorly done
- Skurge felt pointless

It's either my favourite or 2nd favourite of the lot. Jeff Goldblum makes everything great

I thought it was a fun popcorn movie.
Granted I wasn't a big fan of the previous two.

Pros: Some cool action peppered in.
The use of Immigrant Song.
Well paced and has a distinct energy about it.
The imagery was finally unique and had a cool style in every scene but one (see the first points in Cons).
Cons: The Hulk v Thor fight was a) boring, b) too short, and c) one of the ugliest looking set-pieces I've seen in awhile.
The humor was just way over-the-top.
Watered down Thor for 85% of the movie.
Hela was a boring and generic villain.
Mark Ruffalo.

Its the worst Thor film yet,so cheesy and no darcy either"she was the best character.
At least the first two films had potienal and seemed some what serious,Thor and Lokis scenes in Shitnerok feel like something from a sitcom, its awkward especially when they seemed to be a little serious in the first two movies and Avengers.

Pros: Tess Thompson, Cate Blanchett, Korg, Led Zep, the production in general
Cons: struggling to think of any.
Best Thor film, one of the best MCU and possibly a Top 10 CBM film. I was pretty happy they steered clear of the LOTR-esque route

Big time missed opportunity to make an epic LOTR style type of film . Instead it was a stupid slap stick comedy (that wasn't even that funny to be honest)
