Though I think I'm in the minority that prefers 'Castle' over 'Blood'. Not by a huge margin, but l found it to be less boring. 'Pulse' is a real blast from the past. I remember as a kid being really creeped out by it.

An American Werewolf in London (1981, John Landis) I have to admit, I'm more of a 'Howling' guy, but this is still awfully damned good. Scott, the picture quality on the restored edition looks pretty good. I never seen what the older edition looked like, but I understand there was a lot of grain, especially in the darker scenes. The new edition has very little of that. Nightmares (1983, Joseph Sargent) Saw this at the theater when it first came out, when I was 13. It's always been an important film to me and remains my favorite horror anthology.

Yeah, I wasn't particularly impressed with "The Blood of Fu Manchu".
"Pulse" is good fun. It would make a good triple feature if you watched it with "Poltergeist" and "Ghost in the Machine".

Thanks for letting me know about AAWIL. I may just hold on to my steelbook Blu for now.
"Nightmares" is a pretty solid anthology. I particularly like "Bishop of Battle" and "Night of the Rat".

I need to see "10 Cloverfield Lane". Goodman is always great value.

My favorite views were Night of the Bloody Apes and Humanoids (stupid but entertaining and boobs never hurt lol). The Frankenstein one I found rather dreadful but I'm not a big fan of Hammer films. Shivers is seen as some kind of classic but I guess expected too much of it. Bar The Brood Cronenberg isn't really my style apparently. The real winners so far in this monster challenge are The Deadly Spawn (1983) and Bug (1975).

I'm surprised that it didn't get the respect it deserves. I was going to re-watch it because I noticed how so many people in society are obsessed with their electronic devices. I like the concept of the internet getting haunted by a demonic spirit and threatens an apocalyptic scenario. So, I only had time for one horror movie last week. It was called Quarries. It's a low budget survival horror flick about a battered woman trying to recuperate from her abusive boyfriend. She goes on a wilderness trip with a group of women. Due to unexpected circumstances the route of the trip takes a detour and the group ends up in very hostile territory being tracked by psychotic hunters. I liked the character development. Events move fairly quickly as well. The bad guys are kind of cliche though. But the acting is good. I started to watch it again, but couldn't due to time constraints. I wouldn't recommend the film unless you have an open mind about seeing indie horror films that aren't made for mainstream audiences. I give Quarries 4/10 rating

Wow I haven't seen Nightmares in decades! I do remember it to be a good movie though.
