The basis for this being that Superman's face looks completely clean shaven instead of the now infamous CGI foul up. He does look fine in the picture, I'll give it that. As the article points out though, a picture does not equal an entire film.

I don't think Whedon threw out every bit of footage he didn't use.

I'll never understand why people keep wanting a Snyder cut. JL wasn't very good but it was still heaps better than BvS. A Snyder-cut would probably be worse than the theatrical cut we got.

Wouldn't the Snyder cut have to have post production done to the scenes that Snyder shot? The reshoots came early enough where all the cgi wouldn't have been done for all the Snyder shots that weren't used. Is there enough of a demand for a Snyder cut for WB to put money into post production on the 25-30% of the shots that Whedon redid and also the cost to produce the home media?

Again, I just wish I knew what was wrong with all of Snyder's Superman stuff in JL, he seems cheerful enough in all the leaked footage.

The line amused me because of my, er, thesis that the Snyder cut of Justice League is getting to be in superhero-fandom what London After Midnight is in horror-fandom. Whenever another photo from of LAM comes out, everyone at the Classic Horror Forums or Scarlet Street goes wild, and then someone always reminds us all, “A picture does not equal an entire film!”

Here's a shot from an action scene set at STAR LABs that was apparently shelved.

Wonder how where that was going to fit into the story.

"Find the missing pieces!" according to Jay Oliva (storyboard artist), there is a snyder assembly cut or even a rough cut.

The cornfield scene was completely reshot, the third act as well, his interaction with alfred. So as with all Zach Snyder films, he is good at single moments that extend to maybe 5 minutes at the most, but is incapable of putting those moments together into a workable long-form narrative.
