...than the one seen in theaters. Literally and figuratively. Okay, so I'm not much a hater on how superhero films rely on the 'sky portal' cliche but man, I'm sick of hearing evil schemes centered around terraforming. TEXT: This footage greatly resembles scenes from a previously released series of concept art paintings for Justice League. Created by artist Christian Lorenz Scheurer, the paintings show the villain Steppenwolf successfully using the Motherboxes he gathered over the course of the movie to start terraforming Earth to resemble his home-world of Apokolips. This would have created a hellish landscape, similar to the sand-blasted dystopian wasteland which Bruce Wayne saw during the "Knightmare" sequence of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The VFX reels from Blind LTD seem to confirm that the idea of the Justice League fighting Steppenwolf in a visibly devastated land had progressed far beyond the pre-production phase of the film's development. screenrant.com/justice-league-vfx-reshoots-changes-final-battle/

I distinctly recall people saying that the movie looked too ugly and gloomy when this trailer was released, so I can’t imagine it would’ve made things much better if that was what the final product looked like. With that being said, I prefer the original look over what we ended up getting.

So he did 3 DC movies and between those 3 it was stopping the villain from terraforming Earth and defeating Zod...

yeah.....people really disliked it visually, i liked it (except the damn songs they tossed in) but what we ended up getting was very cluttered and visual noise, i mean it was all pink.

But this trailer came out either just before (or at more or less the same time) they went public with Joss Whedon doing re-shoots... and with the exception of the Cyborg/tank "you should move" scene, ALL that stuff is in the movie.
So outside of the Superman stuff it's fair to say that we got a Zack Snyder movie already, no?

It hadn’t been announced that Joss Whedon would be handling reshoots until about two months after that trailer was released. Also, there were a couple of shots of Cyborg prior to his accident that weren’t in the movie, as well as a shot of Bruce riding on a horse.

Outside of the Superman stuff it's fair to say that we got a Zack Snyder movie already.
