That's hardly confirmation. Wait for a clearer statement.
Literally just this banner:

Why not just DC Films? Like Justin Timberlake once said, it's cleaner.

I was going to make a thread about this but I see one has already sort of been board so I've hijacked it and tacked a poll on it.
So yeah should it be changed to the "official" title? A general DC Movies or Films because we'll still have discusson for Joker here and that's not part of it? Should it be left entirely alone?

Now that you mention it... unlike Marvel movies, all DC movies ever since Reeve are from Warner Bros. so you could argue it's one big franchise.
Maybe "DC Comics" since it's the property name like Lord of the Rings, not necessarily the franchise name?
Then, since most DC TV discussion gets shoehorned into the Arrow sub-board, maybe that should be DC Comics too.

Yes, all DC movies since Superman: The Movie are basically 1 big franchise so this board should probably be called DC Movies or DC Multiverse. The Arrow board not only includes threads on the other Arrow-verse shows (The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow) but also threads on Gotham, Krypton, and Black Lightning and will probably include threads on Batwoman, Titans, and Swamp Thing when those start. So the Arrow board should probably be called DCTV, but the Arrow board isn't under scabab and hauntedknight's jurisdiction. I did make a request to the Admin shortly after the Arrow board was created to change the name to a more general DCTV, but that was never done.

No, “Worlds of DC” was not announced as the official name for the DCEU By Chris Begley - July 22, 2018
By now you’ve probably seen some headlines that said “Worlds of DC is the official name for the DCEU”. That is simply not true! I’ve spoken to multiple people who were inside Hall H for Warner Bros.’ San Diego Comic-Con presentation today. Here’s what actually happened…
Warner Bros. showed a sizzle reel of DC movies and at the end it said “WELCOME TO THE WORLDS OF DC”.
That’s it! There wasn’t an announcement. It was simply a line of text at the end of a promotional video. That’s hardly Warner Bros. “announcing” or “officially rebranding” the DCEU as these articles say.
I’ve received every press release that Warner Bros. sent out today. None of them mentioned “Worlds of DC” or any kind of official name for the DCEU. The DCEU is still officially nameless.

Then it can simply stay as it is for now.

Then it can simply stay as it is for now. But DC Films has 7 votes to Leave It As It Is's 4.
