I couldn't find any baseball threads so I figured I should start one. Opening Day is right around the corner!

As long as it's not the Cubs. I can't take another year of that.

Rockies are my sort of smoky team, some incredible young talent, and hopefully in contention enough to make a few buys before the trade deadline this time around.
The Cubs will probably be good for a few years and we'll all have to deal with it.

They can either crash and burn - or surprise everybody and make a run at the wild card.

Yeah Im not sure how the Phillies will do. I'm just really sold on a lot of their (Rockies) young talent IMO, and I think Chatwood can be the anchor that gets wins and every other pitcher will look up to and try and perform to his standards.
Everyone thought the Phillies were crazy to trade Ken Giles which looked like a solid closing option, he's almost fallen off a cliff at the Astros, and the sole reason for many of their losses. Plus Velazquez has been a nice starting pick up pitcher, and Appel is yet to make his mark, whether he is ready I am not sure.
Eickhoff had some nice games, but gave up too many dingers, he can still be a good dem in this rotation
Clay while maybe not ideal for a rebuilding team I think will go better in the NL. It was only a few years back he had one of his best seasons ever despite being injured and if it wasn't for that he may have been a Cy Young canditate like Porcello was last year. I've always been a fan of his, I just don't know what went wrong in Boston, almost as if he had the Beckett effect? heh
Nola and Hellickson will also win you guys games, but it just depends on what the bats/field looks like on opening day. The pitching rotation definately has the potential to be very good

The two teams I root for ,hopefully they will finally escape stagnation. The NL team I root for dwells in the post season yet the AL team I root for can't even make the playoffs.
