When Hogan joined the nWo is still the match that had the biggest impact on me when I watched it.

not live but I witnessed Lex Luger Vs Buff Bagwell at a legends reunion show in the summer of 2006 it was a pretty big deal considering that it was Lugers final match I believe he had a stroke not too long after this. you could tell the match was botched to protect Lugers health but it was still awesome to see Luger in person and Luger did win the match BTW. I also saw Jake The Snake Roberts and Sensational Sherri in November of that year at another Legends reunion show I remember seeing Sensational Sherri and noticed how she could barely stand as she walked to the ring and I thought to myself they shouldn't have even had her on the card that night considering how bad her health was

My cousin reached out and touched Luger, she almost fainted. I remember her being 13 and having a crush on him (this was like 1996 or 1997)

I wonder if it was because people saw him as the returning hero who had stuck it to the WWF or because he actually had an interesting storyline: he was heel against Hogan and other guys, but he was still Sting's closest friend. It made for a unique dynamic at the time.

Jarrett. and Bret Hart. but I remember Luger being a member too.

The Montreal Screw job I feel like Bret fucked himself over and Vince did what he felt like he had to do and Shawn was just the tool in which was used to do it. I do think at the time Shawn had a bit of joy in doing it though knowing how much he hated Bret.

Yeah. That came around late 99, I believe. He joined the Wolfpack. I don't recall the year but I do remember at one time the NWO Wolfpac consisting of Nash, Luger, Sting, Konnan. In my mind the NWO expanding to insane numbers is what started the end of WCW. I feel like the only 2 people in WCW that were never in the NWO were DDP and Goldberg.

Page and Goldberg could've carried WCW into the new millennium had it not been for the backstage politicking of certain nwo members. Those guys were hugely over with the fans.

These are matches I was at. Probably tons I'm forgetting and it's hard to narrow it down. But I'll go with this for now: Not exactly in this order: The Wargames: Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, The Midnight Express, and Big Bubba Rogers Vs. Rock n roll express, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, and Ron Garvin. 11/25/87 Nassau Coliseum The Bootcamp Match: Sgt Slaughter Vs. The Iron Sheik at Madison Square Garden 6/16/84 I had 3rd row ringside yeeeaaaah Chico Santana vs. Greg Valentine: 6/16/84 MSG Eddie Guerrero Vs. Dean Malenko 5/19/95 ECW arena 3 way dance Public Enemy vs. Taz/Rick Steiner vs. Dean Malenko/Chris Benoit 4/8/95 ECW Arena I didn't include ROH matches and Indy matches because i've been to too many shows and I don't remember and don't know which ones to list.

Yeah, the N.W.O should have been 5 members top. They were basically giving everyone on the WCW roster other than Goldberg a t-shirt.

Yup, DDP was literally the only WCW main eventer that I cared for. Most of the WWF/E guys that left and went there I stopped caring for them in that exact moment.

To me the nwo was similar to dx. Grown men acting like a bunch of 7th graders. I thought it was good at first when it was the outsiders and hogan. But then half the company was in it.

To me the nwo was similar to dx. Grown men acting like a bunch of 7th graders. I thought it was good at first when it was the outsiders and hogan. But then half the company was in it. Exactly. N.W.O should have been Hall, Nash, and Hogan causing problems, interfering with matches, winning the belt by cheating, and pretending to have beef, only to lay down and let the other one win the belt and laugh that the audience was duped into thinking they had beef and wasted the main event... Etc... This is how you get young new baby faces over. Have Goldberg take all three down and win the belt, have WWF Superstars who crossed over (e.g. Warrior, and Bret Hart) who had beef with Hogan help stand up to the N.W.O. to get them over with WCW fans. Maybe once in a blue moon add 1 major member as shock value, but stop at 5 members. Like Sting or Macho Man... Bit by the time they turned, half the WCW were N.W.O. and it wasnt a big deal. But having Sting or Macho Man turn heel like Hogan. Would have been epic. Out of nowhere.
