So two movies folks can argue are driven by Gender and Race but at least wonder woman is actually a solid good film even if you swap her gender to male. her overall story was stronger than Black Panther's. WW is not mere mediocre to average like BP/THOR 1?
If you swap BP with a white cast, you have the first Thor movie. if you swap wonder woman with A male hero, you still get wonder woman or a much much better version of the Captain America 1:First Avenger and the First Avenger was deemed better than Thor 1.
so does this not confirm Wonder Woman is the better film?

The difference is that Wonder Woman is a great movie and Black Panther is an awful movie.

By comparison, this makes the worst possible syllogism sound like a rigorous mathematical proof.

I agree that Wonder Woman is the better film.
Sucks that both films featured a terrible cg end battle.
This is why Nolan will always be top dog!

in a way, I can call wonder woman...her story. black panther..... cant say the same, seeing how he was overshadowed but also wonder woman had a less predictable plot and better cinematography.

Eh. They're both predictable plots. If they really wanted to be less predictable they could have thrown us a curve ball. Maybe some M.Night level twist.

They were both predictable. I think Wonder Woman was better, but their biggest crime was revealing beforehand the actor who was playing Area and then they try to play it up as a big shocking twist in the movie, but it didn't work. The Dark Knight is better than both of them though.

I do think winter solider was a bigger offender in the easy to figure out plot twist plot. we saw Alexander Pearce aka mr hydra and bucky as the winter solider coming more than we saw the twist of Ares in WW

Anyone familiar with the Captain America comics would have known who the Winter Soldier was and they never tried to hide the fact that it was Bucky in the film. That was expected. Sure Pierce was probably predictable as the villain, but the idea that all of SHIELD was taken over was a surprise that no one saw. And even to the casual Marvel fans, I'll admit that The First Avenger wasn't anything special or unique, it was just alright, and I think most Marvel fans, particular casual ones who don't follow the comics had those same reservation about it. So Bucky's character didn't particularly stick with me so even I had to look him up after Winter Soldier. Wonder Woman not only tried to hide the fact who Ares was, but also try to convince the viewer another character (Luddendorf) was him. And that's fine, but the twist didn't work because I knew right off the bat who the actor was playing him like alot of DC fans did.

one could argue anyone who read god loves man kills would have predicted jason was the villain but X2 kept it subtle, though in the comics, jason dies earlier although he is the reason Styker goes mad in the comics too like the films.
I did not read captain america comics but I knew bucky was the villain watching the film because steve gives it away by constantly talking about him unlike X2 that barely hints its jason.
shield getting take over, you could smell that away, it is one of the most popular typical generic spy plot twist ever in film that even james bond does not use that anymore unless mcu fans are that dumb to not know this.

Likewise, it was the same thing with Wonder Woman. They kept referring to the sword as a God-Killer, but everyone knew Diana was the God-Killer right from the start. Wonder Woman is just as predictable as you may think MCU films are.

Black Panther and Wonder Woman were better the 100% of the X-Men movies so far.
I'd put both of 'em ahead of Dark Knight as well.

Thor: The Dark World >>>>>>The Length of the Universe >>>>>> The majority of X-Men movies
Disney is gonna make X-Men great again!

I didn't think either film was anything spectacular, but I prefer Wonder Woman. Black Panther was extremely generic superhero fare with a villain who has the same powers as the hero.
Wonder Woman had it's problems, but it's a better film overall. I thought David Thewlis was miscast as Ares and I thought Ares should have been saved for a later film.

The difference is that:
1. Wonder Woman had a better lead. 2. Wonder Woman focused more on the lead whereas BP allowed the side-characters their time to shine 3. BP had a way better villain than WW. 4. WW was praised for being an empowering movie for women, BP was praised for being an empowering movie for blacks AND women. 5. BP's african accents were better executed than WW's Amazon accents. 6. WW had a better romantic storyline, BP didn't really bother much with it. 7. BP had better action scenes, WW had more epic moments. 8. In the end, I feel BP was the better overall movie but I still enjoyed WW a bit more because it had higher highs (though also lower lows).

Him as a one dimensional character was much more damaging to the plot.
Wonder woman has a richer plot and better technicality. that is what makes it better.

Technically from those 8 points wonder woman is better. since she scored more positives. point 4 , made me laugh. because that is far from the truth. Amazons did not have any accent in the movie. they spoke like the average Americans. the African accents were worse, born and bred American actors trying to do African accent and the...what are thoseeeee. please that is cringe now.
Also point 7 is a lie, fans and honest critics were harsh with the action in BP and terrible CGI.

Also point 7 is a lie, fans and honest critics were harsh with the action in BP and terrible CGI. Not really. The only major point that WW wins in the ones listed above is that she was a stronger lead than T'Challa, but that's evened out by the fact that BP's supporting characters were much better than WW's. Then you have the fact that BP's villain is way way better than the villains in WW. If you think the Amazons didn't have accents and spoke like average Americans then you need to rewatch the movie, as you are very clearly mistaken. Critics were only harsh towards BP's fight scenes regarding the final fight. The rest of the movie's fight scenes were all praised, especially the waterfall fights. WW's fight scenes started off good but then ended up being repetitive. And her final fight with Ares is every bit as bad (probably even worse) than the final fight in BP. Like I said, I actually enjoyed WW more because it had higher highs despite lower lows, but a completely fair and honest assessment from my part admits that BP was the better overall movie. Much better balanced with far fewer weak points.

Out of supporting characters and villains, Klaue was also better than most of the supporting characters and side villains (Luddendorf and Dr. Poison) from Wonder Woman. Andy Serkis stole the movie in BP, especially with him singing "What is Love". Wonder Woman really lacked a colorful villain like that who stole the movie.
