When I'm busy in the kitchen I usually have my radio tuned to the oldies rock station. Peeling potatoes and chopping onions is always better with the Beatles and the Stones in the background!

Listen from my mobile phone but now I might check out a few radio stations. Usually I listen to old music but I prefer 90s when I am cooking.

In the 90s, a local company issued a series of cookbooks that were accompanied by CDs of appropriate music. This post made me think of it. Because of my job, I received a promotional copy of "The Irish Isle: New Irish Cuisine/Traditional Irish Music." I just pulled out the cookbook, and I'll look for the CD later (as I recall, it was mostly harp music). I hadn't looked at the cookbook, in so long. It has some great stuff ... "beer ice cream?" And, it lists hotels, and castles with public dining, from which the recipes come. Evidently, they're still available. I'm thinking about ordering another. www.menusandmusic.com/Cookbooks_s/1820.htm

I'm not sure why... But many movies feature... Women drinking a glass of wine... While they are cooking in the kitchen! This one's dedicated to you! The Fireballs "Bottle Of Wine"

I ate the eye of a fish once when a favorite Hunan place said to eat it for good luck. They probably went back in the kitchen and said "We told him to eat the eye, ha ha ha ha!"
