If he heads to winterfell ? Arya and Sansa already put LF on trial what will stop them from not doing same with Jamie to avenge the red wedding ?? I know his stupid arrogant father did that but Jamie is best next thing , Jamie is heading there to warn them cersei won't be sending help that's how I read the scene Royce already said a Lannister and Targaryen cannot be trusted OMG and that will bring conflict between brienne and Sansa who is sworn to serve Sansa but loves Jamie !!!!! Ok I predict this IF Jamie gets arrested that's why cersei retaliates and lannisters attack and in the battle brienne dies trying to save sansas life and dies in Jamie's arms lannisters take sansa.

I think now the power will be in the hands of Jon who is a very diplomatic person and who can make people united. Remember he even struck a friendship with the wildlings? He will protect Jaime and see Jaime valuable as a warrior and a leader. There may of course be voices against him but the war has already begun in the North and so there will be less time for internal fight. Jon is just the man for such a situation. He will bring peace between all sides.
Jaime has gone to join the war to regain his honour. I don't think he will be cheated of his share of final glory by getting him arrested or making him a Stark prisoner. He will fight and probably for the last time. Yes, I do agree that he may die either in arms of Brienne or together with her. Because Jaime did injustice to Starks by making Bran suffer permanent injury he may even save a Stark and pay his debt. Lannisters always pay their debt.

By the time Jaime gets to Winterfell, they will be waist deep in zombies and ice dragon. They won't have the luxury of spending time on past grudges.

Jaime is of no use as a warrior. He carries a Valyrian steel sword which would be better used by someone else. He is of no use as a leader without Lannister forces. He could be used as a hostage again. Maybe this is part of the discussion between Jon and Cersei in King's Landing. And Jaime's father was not stupid

And Jaime's father was not stupid Yeah, Aerys may have been crazy, but he was not stupid.

And Jaime's father was not stupid Yeah, Aerys may have been crazy, but he was not stupid. You're thinking of Tyrion, not Jaime.

They have ravens and LF was of no use there once they got the Vale army.
It won't be the same with Jaime who they will actually need for after the zombie battle...Assuming they survive.

Yeah, Aerys may have been crazy, but he was not stupid. You're thinking of Tyrion, not Jaime. I bought into the theory that Tywin didn't have any kids. Good enough for him. And Aerys's descendants still end up on the throne.

And Jaime's father was not stupid Leo trust me he was , youre the biggest cersei fan i know , how could you not think it was stupid of twyin trying to marry off cersei to Loras tyrell a GAY man ??, i mean c'mon ..that was stupid i didn tlike that i didnt like what he did to tyrion and his first wife or the way he meddled in jamies life or what he did with cersei and robert , cersei didnt want to mary him , her father wanted her to marry a baratheon and red wedding was a stupid plot seen as other houses as a weak way to remove a king that was not seen as a true win for the lannisters , rob stark was unarmed ,how is that a fair fight? and that is the only way they would have taken him out , twyn lost his life because of his stupidity trying to upstage his son by sleeping with shae not a fan of hers so i dont care about her but his ego got him killed in the end. editing to add yes i agree with you the spoiler could be about that , either jamie is the hostage or sansa is

i think the hand jamie lost is same hand that pushed bran out the window , im not sure but i think , jamie has remorse for what he did ,he is a changed man now , In the books yes. In the show Jamie uses his left hand to push Bran. It's interesting in the books, Jamie at first feels emasculated by losing his hand, but then comes to see it as a metaphorical purging of his sins. Its the same hand that cut Aerys throat, the hand that pushed Bran and the hand that touches Cersei.
