Seriously whoever edited this movie shouldn't ever edit again. this movie was a mess, so rushed and the plot was weirdly convoluted as well.

It's not talked about much (though maybe I'm just not invited to those discussions ) but action film editors have gotten real lazy in the past ten, fifteen years. They're all complaining about Michael Bay or the Jason Bourne movies as a bad thing yet a lot of times, they'd fall back on the cheapest most chaotic editing possible.

Agreed. It was not very good at all (5/10). If they want to see how to edit an action movie all they have to do is watch John Wick.

Like others said: "Nice concept, poor execution".
4/10

Or "The Raid" and its sequel, the Indonesian movies that launched the international career of Iko Uwais.
I saw "Mile 22" yesterday and didn't like it at all.

very very sloppy made film from Peter Berg. I was expecting at least something somewhat coherent lol. Iko Uwais was easily the MVP & kicked all kinds of ass in this at least. 5/10

I havent seen it, but evidently it's the same guy who edited the last few of his films and antman, so there's that.
Is the problem with all action sequences or just hand to hand?

Well lets just say there's like three subplots going on and none of them make any real sense and require us to care about an extra who was in the movie for a minute.
