I'd like a remake of The Howling (1981) with extremely impressive transformation scenes. I love the original, but it could be updated in spectacular fashion.

If they remade Troll, what tone would you like to see them take, dark fantasy like the original, or a more horror bent? I'd like a blend of both. Like the style of the old, old Brothers Grimm fairie tales, before they were 'PGed', tweaked to be less scary and disturbing for western/American readers. Keep the cute little mushroom creature though. 🍄 Have you seen Troll 2? It is a legend amongst so bad its good movie lovers. My remake wants: I would want a combo of practical FX and CGI for the turtle like creatures in The Boogens. Keep it set in winter with snow on the ground too. Spookies is in rights limbo because it's a mashup of two different movies edited together. Love to see it redone, but keep the smorgasboard of dozens of different varities of monsters (especially the spooky ass asian spider-woman) after people trapped in an old sorceror's mansion. Jon Knautz who directed The Shrine (2010), that is who I want to direct a remake of The Guardian. (edit- or Corin Hardywho dir. The Hallow) Very underated to me. People had unrealistically high expectations just because it was directed by William Friedkin. We need more movies that deal with ancient druids/driad worshipers. That reminds me, that and since you like Troll, sometime when you need a rec, check out 2015s The Hallow . Creepy as hell with changelings, gnomes etc. Fimed and set in Ireland.

Maximum Overdrive (even though it's crazy as it already is) The highlight being that truck that beeps its own horn (HOW?) in Morse Code.

I love the dark fantasy aspect in Troll. I think they should keep that. The original story is great, I'd like to see what they could do with it today. The Guardian is one of my favorites! The coyote scene is legit disturbing to me. I also love druid mythology. I'll check out The Hallow for sure. Did you see Shrooms? I thought it was pretty fun for a direct to video B movie.

Needful Things. The '93 movie was crap. Because there's so much ground to cover, it should be done as a 2-parter like IT or made as a TV miniseries.

I don't know. To be honest there have been a lot of Horror remakes that have been awful and an insult to the original movies but I am kinda surprised they haven't already made remakes of Critters, Ghoulies, Gremlins, Demons, Re-Animator, C.H.U.D., Waxworks, 976-EVIL, Creepers, From Beyond, Basketcase, Bad Dreams, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Pumpkinhead and Sleepaway Camp to name a few. There is a TV show of 'Critters' in the works now and I am hoping they don't make the same mistake the original franchise made turning Ug into a villain in the final movie 'cause it made no sense that he turned on his friend, Charlie. I would prefer to see more sequels a new 'Demons' movie set in a different location, new 'Candy Man' and 'Hellraiser' movies made by Clive Barker (which Clive has been wanting to do but can't 'cause he doesn't have the rights) and the fourth 'Re-Animator' movie they were planning on a few years back but I think a 'Ghoulies' remake could work.

I wouldn't mind a munchies remake. That was 80's B movie horror-comedy at its best.
