What substances do you prefer to consume in order to make your life more pleasurable? Personally I prefer tobacco, cannabis and alcohol, simply because these substances do not have collateral long term effects on brain. I am against any drug that alters the brain function for long term. No matter what you had, you have to be clear the next morning.

I'm a heavy cigarette smoker, but it is really catching up to me. Lot of coughing and wheezing after 40 years. Not a day goes by that I don't tell myself I need to quit.
Also drinking a lot the past year. I have had a lot of physical pain that pills won't fix. Doctors won't give me anything, so I drink to dull the pain. It never helps in the long run, and I worry about the consequences.
Weed? Used to do it, but it doesn't seem to do much for me anymore.
I used to do a lot of other stuff in the past, but not anymore.

Alcohol is the drug I "use" the most. I drink every single hour of every single day. It gets me through life.
My absolute favorite disregarding the side effects? Ecstasy. I don't take it anymore, and it led to the worst and darkest period of my life, but my God was it fun. I guess I had the highest of highs and lowest of lows when I abused it.
Coke would be #3. Paired with alcohol, it is the greatest duo since peanut butter and jelly. It turns a good night to a great night.
Painkillers and other opiates are nice, but not really my thing. I've always preferred uppers.
Psychedelics like shrooms and LSD are also fun, but I'm not crazy about them like a lot of people I know.
I smoke cigarettes, but I don't particularly enjoy it. I just do it because I have to.
I hate weed. It really fucks me up.

If I had to choose? it would probably be Alcohol even though I don't drink anymore, there is no doubt that a couple of beers can have a relaxing and sedating effect with the least amount of side effects and no hang-overs or addiction unless your prone to alcoholism then nothing would stop you anyways.

This is quite true, we are talking beer not whiskey and there are a great many societies that functioned extremely well for countless centuries drinking beer and wine (All of Europe in fact) and not falling to destruction and actually succeeding at a rapid developing pace. I truly doubt that if you used all of the rest of the drugs listed everyday of your life, that you would not succumb to some debilitating physical effects in a matter of perhaps a year or so? Actually, beer was a valuable food stable in cultures as far by as back as Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt, it was a good way to preserve a very nutritious food source. |

You have to eat to sustain life but you being obese is due to your overeating. You nor anyone has to drink beer or wine. If you have 2 beers with your meal then you have had more beer than your liver can safely process in an hour. For someone who claims to not drink anymore you sure are arguing in favor of alcohol big time. It's amazing how many "non drinkers" do that exact same thing.
No matter how anyone here wants to dance around the fact or make excuses for sucking down booze, alcohol is the MOST LETHAL item on that list. I couldn't care less if you or anyone wants to drink themselves to death BUT, the disgusting truth is pathetic drunks often take others with them in a variety of horrible ways.
Like I said suck down booze until your liver is pickled but stop pretending alcohol is the safest option when it's the exact opposite. Also all of the info is available with a simple search yet you continue to babble.
