rip. had a bit of a lance storm look to him.
love looking at that old school NWA/WCW Saturday Night Set - i.e. with only a hundred or so fans - but didn't Saturday Night Ramp up a bit in the early/mid 90s with the arrival of Hogan.
what era did he wrestle in? looks like he had an early 90s vibe to him are these 'dark matches' taped off air and they let like 50 or so fans in?

Chris Champion wrestled from like '85 till the 2,000's. He had a run in Florida early on and then worked for Crockett with Sean Royal as his partner in the team the New Breed. And then also worked Memphis, and then came back to WCW and I think was managed by Harley Race and was under the hood as Yoshi Kwan. Also did a few other gimmicks on the indies. The Saturday night show was at that small studio for awhile. Then they moved to Center Stage in '89 after Turner took over which was a bigger location and fit a lot more fans in the building. They ran their Saturday night show at Center stage for the remainder of that program which I think went on till '96.

memphis area eh? did they ever wrestle these 2 legends? PG-13! Chris used to team with his brother Mark Starr there and they were called "wild side". Judging from the timeline I think that was just before PG-13 formed so they probably never crossed paths. The 1990/'91 period I didn't really catch that much of the Memphis stuff but I plan on watching it all eventually.

Yeah that was sad I was sorry to hear about that. Brian was great in Memphis. He really got over there. First as a heel and then got over huge as a face. Had a lot of matches against Jerry Lawler but they kept it a secret about them being related. His promos were awesome and funny. Then they gave him that gimmick in the wwf and that got over, but that wasn't the same as seeing Brian Christopher in Memphis. I never saw his TNA stuff.
