i didn't know Blackjack was a heel in WWF.
thought he was always a face.
did he hop back and forth throughout his career? know he's barry windhams dad and was supposedly one of those guys like Haku who was legit tough.
ever hear the shoot about how Bischoff sent Ole Anderson down to the Power Plant and Mulligan legit knocked him out? and that's the pretty much the last of what was heard from from Ole in WCW/NWA.

He was a heel for a lot of the 70's and had some pretty big runs in the wwwf, AWA, mid atlantic and other places. The team of the Blackjacks was pretty hot too at the time. From what I remember, it was like early 80's and on he was mostly a face. With a few exceptions. He came into World class as a heel and was managed by Percy Pringle in '86 I think it was. But other than that, he was loved in the Florida territory. He surrounded himself with "the family" as they were known. Which consisted of Dusty, Barry, Ron Bass, and him when they feuded with JJ dillon and his stable and Kevin Sullivan and his group of misfits.

If he did it had to have been earlier in his career like the 70's or something but I could be wrong.

That's a pretty cool video thanks for posting. I didn't even realize he was slammed that many times. The Kamala one I saw recently because I"ve been watching the mid south wrestling dvd's. I always knew Race and Hogan slammed him but I didn't know that many other guys did. They probably shouldn't have included the double team slams. I don't think that should count.

Race was probably one of the toughest guys ever in the business. I remember the lawsuit thing. They WWF tried to run in Lawler's towns and they billed Race as "the King". That didn't sit too well with Lawler. Ofcourse the WWF bombed big time when they tried running in the South anyways. They couldn't draw flies in the Lawler/Jarrett towns.
