Ok thanks. To be honest this is the first time I've heard any mention of this line relating to a theory. In my mind it's clearly a throwaway jibe from Jon without any foreshadowing. But then again, you never know!! Book wankers stare at the pages as long as it takes for them to see what they want in them.

But then again, you never know!! Maybe. Maybe not. Her sword's name is Needle, she does go around killing people with it (such a vengeful little thing) essentially "sewing" with her needle, and winter is coming... I can see why people put stock in it.

My theory is that Arya kills the Red Witchy Witch.
Remember that moment when they met and the Witchy Woman said "We will meet again?"

Melisandre no longer plays any role. She is a danger to no one and killing her would serve nothing but express that angry negativity Arya has been about all along. i agree whats the point arya killing melissandre? if anything she resurrected her cousin jon snow she may take melissandre off her list when arya finds out i think melissandre is old witch lived many many years that necklace she wears changes her appearance she uses it to set up people to get what she wants in this case she wants to defeat the night king as much as the rest of them do ,only her ways are more evil she will sacrifice anyone and anything to get her way,she has no emotion she is ready to die but i think she may die sacrificing either herself or someone she believes will defeat the Night King or along with them . there is a strong possibility if dany is pregnant indeed she will talk her into sacrificing her baby or herself and then either jorah or jon kills her ,danys fate is connected to witches she lost her first baby to magic rituals and believed what the witch told her and something tells me she will believe melissandre too do you all remember what khaleesi needed to do in S1 to bring khal drogo back? she had to kill his horse ...if any of this theory happens i bet you anything melissandre will talk her into sacrificing one of her 2 last dragons most preferably drogon and by doing that she will loose her child yet again if cersei miscarries so will Dany there will be no offspring from either side at least not from these two ladies. , i really dont think there will be time for any baby to be born even for a fantasy story is too theatrical.

…she will loose her child yet again if cersei miscarries so will Dany there will be no offspring from either side… None of that nobility will have offspring. These authors will want their "new world" to belong to Little Sams.
