Who is your favourite person in the Bible? And why? Mine is Jesus because of His compassion and wise teachings.

Think its pretty safe to say that most Christians will definitely say Our Lord Jesus.

Jesus is my favorite because He gave His life to redeem those who wish to be redeemed, and someday He will return to wipe blasphemers, sodomites, and other unsavory types off the face of the earth forever.
The one I identify the most with is probably Jeremiah, because he did everything he was called upon to do, and he was not listened to.

Who is your favourite person in the Bible? And why? Mine is Jesus because of His compassion and wise teachings. 1. Yahweh 2. Moses 3. Elijah 4. Jesus Obviously Jesus is very popular here. Jesus is also very popular with atheists. Christians atheists like what they believe Jesus meant to say. Military atheists like what they believe Jesus meant to say. People who believe diametrically opposed things all seem to think that Jesus is on their side. Jesus is popular with elementary atheists because he is popular with children and adults with simple minds. I like Yahweh more than other "people" do because I do not blame him for the terrible things that happened in the world in primitive times. The mistake most people make is to think that Yahweh instituted slaughtering babies and human sacrifice and other barbaric things. Those things were already in the world because it was not the Garden of Eden because of the sin of partaking of the forbidden fruit. Those things were considered normal in that primitive world. They are not considered normal anymore only because of centuries of work by God's people. A problem I've noticed, not so much with Jesus but with his followers, is that they are very reluctant to rebuke sin generally. Their understanding of "right and wrong" is that when they do things they are right, yet when others do the same thing it's terribly wrong. It tends to be more about membership than anything else. You can take another poll, but I suspect you find the same thing again that Jesus is wildly popular with atheists. It makes for a large group of people who can decide what to do on whatever the group is doing.

When I was a kid and not atheist, I liked Peter (NT) and Samuel and Elija (OT). Today I don't know who would be my favorite character from the Bible.

Think its pretty safe to say that most Christians will definitely say Our Lord Jesus. First Post! Woop!Woop! Jesus is the best character but my favorite character would be one I better identify with rather than aspire to and on that note it would usually be the ones who are flawed and faithful. That's actually most of the people in the Bible, but the ones that have entire books dedicated to them or contrast with Jesus take precedent.
