They are consistent at giving us really good character moments no matter how bad or boring the film is. It's one of the reasons why even the bad ones are considered just fine or mediocre.
Dark World is as bland as it comes with it's story, but the stuff with Frigga is really good as I really like Rene Russo. And that's really a testament to how great they are with their casting choices. And it's ashamed too, because some of these moments would be really great in a better film. Frigga always got shortchanged in the Thor films and really went out in an anti-climactic way.

I feel like Loki tends to steal every scene he's in.
Hell, he was nearly the best thing about Infinity War, and he was -- uh, not featured in much of the film.

Yep this is the complete opposite of how DC handles their characters. Everything that happened in Batman v Superman happened because Zack Snyder thought it was "badass" and didn't care how it would make the characters come across.

Nothing extraordinary about those. The bad DC and Xmen films also have great character moments.

Seems DC dodged two bullets not hiring hacks Whedon and Gunn...oh wait

yes, Loki was built up as an interesting character, like in mythology he was set up to take over the throne and initiate the final battle, Ragnarök.
What a pity they decided to undo all that in the next film with a few stupid jokes and by reducing Loki to Thors bumbling sidekick without ambitions so not to steal Thors's spotlight, eg when becoming a comedian or by crying like a girl when getting a haircut. Same with Jane or Odin. Ragnarök, thy name is Fragglerock.

In Dark World, best moment is when Stellan Skarsgard sees the birds disappear tosses his drugs away, and says
There is nothing more reassuring than realizing that the world is crazier than you are.
I also like the Thor on the subway scene.
The movie was still disappointing.

First, I would not immediately draw my gun and shoot them several times. Second, I would not fire rocket at my allies in a critical situation because of a brainwashed guy who was a victim himself. But that's just me.

Who gives a fcuk about DC. Honestly, stop mentioning them in this forum. When I talk about the NFL, I don't wanna hear from Wigan supporters about who's fans are better.
Age of Ultron remains my fav MCU not least because of its excellent array of character moments. The Avengers unhinged & vulnerable is refreshing, bookended by 2 great action scenes where they deliver the kitchen sink both times.
