youtu.be/-6eqMxDqUU0Eesh. I know a movie always goes back for reshoots, but if Disney wasn’t happy with the cut, that kinda worries me. I really hope they’ll fix this before the release date or we may not see a trailer for a while.

It sounds like Disney loves will’s genie also. That gives me hope for this movie because I was against Smith’s casting because Will Smith is no Robin Williams.

I’m admittedly surprised they didn’t cast Dwayne Johnson.

No surprise that Disney wasn't happy with the first cut ... what did they expect with Guy Ritchie at the helm!

I'm not sure Ritchie was the best choice for this project. I'd think someone like Ron Howard would have been better suited.

He did a great job with the Jungle book remake and expect him to do wonderfully on Lion King. Also as much as I loved the remake of Beauty And The Beast I probably do agree that Bill Condon was probably not the best choice to direct it. Jon i’m sure would have given it more life.

Oh He has his ups and downs, sherlock 1 was decent to good, the sequel was unwatchable, man from uncle is a film I enjoy, but most say king Arthur is a mess.

They need someone like Chuck Russell
the Mask was well directed with a similar kind of concept (magic, humor, some violence)
but aint gonna happen.
Ideology before talent, that's Disney co. policy.

It’s funny you mentioned Russell. I actually thought his Scorpion King was okay; Conan-lite but okay. But anyhow, Chuck Russell was attached to a Hollywood adaptation of Burton’s “Arabian Nights” with Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson for a time.
