Deadpool 2 did exactly and fell victim to what a lot of sequels do, especially comedy films; taking everything up-to-eleven. And they that's exactly what they did with his four-wall breaking jokes. I know its quintessential to his character and that's fine, but they went a little overboard with the meta-pop culture references to the point of parody that even the line "Now that's just lazy writing" is honestly meta-ing the meta of the film. It was so much more subtle and graceful in the first film and it worked well because the humor didn't rely just on the meta jokes. But they were dropping jokes and meta-references in every other scene to the point of parodying itself. And a lot of the jokes really didn't land well either, some were trying too hard to be clever and others were just unfunny. I just thought it really takes you out of the film.

Well the fan wars should give em plenty of material for part 3. There probably isn’t going to be one according to Ryan Reynolds.

MCU fans complaining about humour, who would have thunk it.

I disagree. Deadpool 2 is a brilliant film that parody not only comic book movies, but sci-fi films like Terminator.
The 4th wall breaking helps keep it unique in a already stuffed genre.

MCU fans complaining about humour, who would have thunk it. I'm not actually. I'm complaining about a gimmick.

I found the jokes to land well. Maybe it's the increasing amounts of references that made it funnier for me, but I can see your point.

Deadpool is not in my top ten mutants list. Deadpool 1 ranks 5th tied with xmen 1 in the xmen films rank list.
like the character fine but wished they did not use cable.

Cable works better when he is leading xforce and is caught in a summers family drama. he is fine with Deadpool but great in other areas. please read second coming. if I was a guy I will want to be cable, if I was a girl I will want to marry him

I understand what you're saying. DP2's humor felt something in the middle of DP1 and Scary Movie. Though Deadpool does break the 4th wall in the comics, he doesn't do it in every other scene. It's fun when done once in a while but was definitely overused in DP2. Was also quite let down by how Cable was portrayed. I mean, I liked the character in the movie, just felt like a far cry from the comic version.

MCU fans complaining about humour, who would have thunk it. Yeah MCU fans have no right to complain about any type of humor whatsoever because the movies they like have humor in them... Yep...

And yet you still paid to see it. Well yeah, how else would he have known that he didn't like the humor if he didn't watch it? I figured someone would say that. But it's pretty obvious that he wanted to hate on it. Personally, I don't give money to movies that I already plan in advance to dislike.
