And if no, why not?
Also - any wrestlers out there with the looks of a Goldberg, Warrior, Nikita, Lex. Or even a Bundy, One Man Gang, Kamala.....
i.e. - Intimidating beyond belief and you knew the chubby 5'6 guy with the mullet didn't stand a chance?
I thought this was a great way of 'building' a wrestler back in the day.
Just week after week he squashes some poor schlub - then after months of buildup he's given a real test who he in turn tears up as well.

Raw just had a match where the tag team A.O.P(Authors of Pain) squashed a couple of nobodys.

Yeah I kinda thought they didn't do squashes anymore. I kinda grew up with the squashes so I got used to it. Most of those guys knew what they were doing, but It depends on the territory. Like the job guys you'd see on wwf tv in a lot of cases worked the small outlaw shows which was the equivalent of today's indy. The guys that weren't good enough to cut it as a job guy on tv would work the smaller outlaw shows. In other territories, some of the guys were just local guys that weren't properly trained and just made 50 bucks to do jobs on tv. Some of those guys couldn't even bounce the ropes properly or know how to lock up. But the ones the wwf used or Crockett were usually pretty good. But with everything revolving around tv ratings these days I guess there's only so much you can do

The Bludgeon Brothers had a couple of squash matches recently on 'Smackdown', before entering the main fray and securing the tag-team title.

If you wanna see squash or filler matches, then all you have to do is watch Raw every week. The show is very unprepared, and doesn't know what to do with most of the roster other than put them in random, useless matches with nobodys.

I still can't get over the fact they have a 3 hour program. That is insane.

Jobbers are practically in extinct species.

There are still squash matches but not anywhere near as many as there used to be back in the day.

There are still squash matches but not anywhere near as many as there used to be back in the day. Probably because the most well-known jobber in WWE history, Steve Lombardi, is no longer with WWE.

Jobbers are practically in extinct species. It's not so much that they're an extinct species, but more due to the fact that they don't do squash matches much anymore. A lot of job guys of the past were guys that were main eventers and mid carders on the outlaw shows. If they were to do squashes now, they'd just use guys from the independents which is the equivalent of the small outlaw promotions of the past.

The Undertaker didn't just Squash, He DESTROYED John Cena at " WRESTLEMANIA 34" and Ronda Rousey Squashed Alexa Bliss at " SUMMERSLAM".

Yeah but we're talking about traditional squash matches. That sounds like a star getting squashed.
