A couple of mediocre films doesn't undo a decades-long legacy of being a major draw for American audiences on the big and silver screen. It's the New Money aspect of the MCU fandom that makes it so insufferable. Talk to me like... what? Sixty or eighty years from now about whether ANT MAN is an A-lister. As for Cavill, he'd be an idiot to keep doing these types of films at this point. But he's playing Superman under the DCEU...and so far of the three films he's played Superman (well) he's done 1 interesting yet disappointing film, and two cluster fucks. The "legacy" of Superman means nothing in respect of Cavill while the character is under the watch of the current DCEU. One more Superman film may have changed that, but that seems unlikely and even Cavill may see things may not change. Of course historically Ant-Man won't be bigger than Superman, but at the moment non-A-listers like Iron Man, Doctor Strange, GOTG etc have been better received and appreciated than any of the outings he has had as Superman. The real issue here - in my personal opinion - is that Superman, as a concept and a character, isn't adapting well to the 21st-century ethos. He was born in a world of absolutes. The modern landscape for super-heroics is filled with gray areas. Ant-Man is a thief, an ex-con and a dad; he may not be a legend but he succeeds at being a person before being an ideal. Superman is... well... Superman. He's the ultimate hero in a time where people don't need or want them. I'm anxious to see how Wonder Woman's square-jawed resolve and absolutism plays out in a contemporary setting.

Doesn't mean Backstreet or the New Kids were ever a legit GOOD band taken seriously by anyone over the age of twelve; so it is with these McMarvel movies. Didn’t you rate Infinity War 8.5/10? So basically you’re a 12 year old.

Hyperion would be hilarious. Even as a cameo. Or Sentry
