Some movies and TV shows, after awhile, when there's enough post and info for people to read about them, are permanently frozen.
We'll no longer be able to post, but just be able to read a page or two???

Why?
It's going to take a long time for many boards just to get enough information in them to make them interesting.
What would you consider that point in time to be, when a board meets that criteria.
And what about people who want to contribute after that?

Because this site only has so much juice and if it catches on, board won't function correctly. It takes no time, only a weekend, in most cases. too bad.

The only reason you wouldn't be able to post to a thread is if it's locked, and I haven't locked any threads here.

Definitely never, ever do this. Sometimes threads that have gone a few years without response are ones you want to comment on, because (as was very common on IMDb) you've only just then seen some very old movie/show and you want to resurrect discussion of it. There's nothing more frustrating than locked threads when you want to actually discuss it.
