Yeah it's real and the fucking idiots over at marvel used it in it's advertisment. It reminded me of how the dumbasses over at WB threw in that horrible Doomsday in the BvS trailer. I really wish all of these films started bombing at the box office. I wonder how that one looked on the big screen. But in the end it's just CGI - form, not substance.
Beware: I knew a guy who knew a guy who suffered from mild form of CGI-Allergy (CGIA). The CGIA gradually developed into a full fledged CGIA-paranoia.
Dude increasingly freaked out when he saw CGI even if it was not there. It escalated: He got mad at things in real life he though looked too CGI, like toys or animals. Said they were badly animated and gravity-less. In the end he thought most people were CGI too and his mission was to uncover the CGI-conspiracy. Even punched an old lady in the face - poor guy ended up in the madhouse which he thought was only CGI too; ironically, they threw away the real keys to his cell. you can get substance from CGI if you have the story to back it up. this is a good example of when cgi meets story telling. this also you see these characters experience some big development in their life...even life changing. the cgi is just backing their character arc..

This CGI heavy scene in Apocalypse is better than any of the CGI garbage in Black Panther

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight hold up so we'll because of how zealous Nolan was when it comes to the use of CGI in the film. Apparently he tried using real bats in Begins until one of the producers had to talk him into using CGI for it. Actually all 3 movies hold up well and while I love Nolan. Comic CGI is not his best strength. his tdk movies as good as they were still faced harsh criticism for many of the fight scenes. Nolan is a master cinematographer but comic cgi and fight scenes was one of his weaknesses and he has been fairly called out for it. He even said, he never gave much focus to that. Nolan is arguably a better story teller than Bryan Singer and Sam Raimi but Raimi and Singer were better at using practical effect or what I like to call non cartoon looking CGI. I Like all 3 directors professionally and I know their strength and weaknesses, please stop making us Nolan fans look bad by making him a flawless god. I have told you this already.[/]
Dude I was trolling you with the whole "church of Nolan" bit. I've noticed you got some issues, possibly mental ones. If you wish to talk about it I'm all ears. Seriously Summers I'm worried about you.

I like X-Men, Spider-Man, DC but have called them all out when they lack. that is what makes me sane unlike you and thatguy/bid47/hobowar and the rest of the fanatics.

I don't think Black Panther, nor Wonder Woman (which is often mentioned along with it), are in the upper echelon of superhero films. I feel like The Dark Knight, Logan, and possibly Batman Begins are the only ones with that honor.
But BP, and WW, are huge cultural touchstones. I can't imagine why either would get so much hate. Best Picture worthy? Probably not. Maybe Director or adapted screenplay. But great achievements in CBMs nonetheless.
Would I want to see BP nominated? Sure. Just like I would've liked to see Wonder Woman nominated. Because I believe some comic book movies deserve to be recognized and if this is how it becomes commonplace then so be it.
I've certainly seen movies that deserved it less. Avatar, for example, with it's typical white savior narrative similar to Pocahontas, Fern Gully, Dances with Wolves, and The Last Samurai.
Also, in regards to BP being racist somehow, I highly doubt so many black people behind the scenes and on the screen would sign on for a movie they deemed inherently racist. Are we saying we don't even trust black people when it comes to what's racist or not?
I also believe all the arguments against BP being acclaimed could essentially be applied to WW. That critics were "scared" to say anything negative in light of the Me Too movement for fear of the possibility of being labelled sexist. But I don't believe that either. The critics have certainly been hard on Tyler Perry's predominantly black films without fear.
Anyways, I don't think it deserves the hate. I think it's just hugely popular both critically and financially and that's upsetting to people who aren't fans of the MCU. I find many of MCU's films to be overrated (AoU, Civil War) or just plain awful (IM2, T:TDW), but I don't consider Black Panther among those. It's definitely in the top 5 of the MCU and possibly top 10 of superhero films in general.

Better CGI moments from comic movies that are more than 10 years oldBatman Begins (2005)X2 (2003) Spider-Man (2004)All 3 movies are more than 10 years old.hmmm...JUST KEEPING IT REAL. I don't really care about the quality of CGI because I'm older than twelve, but none of those movies had better CGI than Black Panther. Either way, you could fix all the CGI in Justice League, BvS and the Bryan Singer abominations and they'd still be horribly written, flavourless, annoying, bland, thematically incoherent dog turds.

Also, ‘Batman Begins’ doesn’t even have that much CGI. Maybe that scene in particular relied heavily on CGI, but still.
