It was fine. This one teased but it did not trail - are we sure this is the official trailer?
I liked the suspenseful piano routine that escalaed to [synth] strings, but later it got a bit generic thematically - at least the used no cheesy pop songs.
Same with the cinematography, the earth bits look good, the cosmic MCU-Stargate stuff looked fake again (uh, those contact lenses).
Let's hope for you MCUs that DC Fan does not spot Marvel hitting a villain masked as an old lady...

They're playing up the paranoia vibe of the film. She's fighting shapeshifters and she can't even trust her own memories, it's a hell of a fresh take on an origin story. It's something slightly different yes but weve already seen fractured memories with Wolverine and Winter Soldier. Well see how they take the angle with this one. WS is different because we knew Bucky first, then saw his new persona. This is mysterious from the start. It sounds more similar to Logan, but still different enough to be its own interesting, new story.

See when I say the genre is dead? remember when Logan used Johnny Cash and we knew we were up for something special? comic movies should progress from that, instead we are still in generic music score like what we see in ms marvel and avengers. They should have progressed how? By not using generic scores? Non generic scores were used in MCU trailers before Logan, and certainly after - Ragnarok/Led Zep, Black Panther/Gil Scott Heron, Ant-Man & The Wasp/Adam & The Ants. Progressed. make it more striped down, a bit more...raw. the movie looks too over commercial. I just smell toys. Don't use voice over and that cheesy music score mcu fans think means epic make the cinematography of the film not all too colourful for once not make it look like the cgi movie it is going to be. as other have said, the trailer offered nothing new or different, just same old , same old. I don't know... maybe it is because wonder woman is a demigod but her trailers, had this high fantasy meets comic movie feel to it from a director who is calling the shot in her movie. this trailer is just meh. swap it with a male lead, the reception will be bad all across the board

Underwhelming, but it is a teaser so it's hard to judge it till trailer 2 comes out. About 70% of the comments on the YouTube page are about the grandma being punched. She's most likely a Skrull.

I've not seen the trailer yet...I'm referring to that part of your post.

The old lady is 100% a Skrull, you think they'll let the Brie Larson punch a real old person lol

Wow that trailer had some horrible Zack Snyder vibes. I hope most of that dialogue is delivered better in the movie.

Ok, so I rewatched some older MCU movie teasers to try and figure out why this Captain Marvel teaser seems different. I think it boils down to the fact that this Cap. Marvel teaser doesn't really show any distinct character defining scenes.
Majority of other MCU teasers usually have character defining scenes. Sometimes it's the characters being in a comedic/humorous moment (i.e. Darcy seeing Thor shirtless) . Sometimes it's them in an emotional conflict with either a teammate or a villain (i.e. Cap and IM getting into verbal sparring in Avengers). Sometimes it's them shown in a heavily dramatic scene (i.e. Vision seemingly having his stone ripped out).
You'll see none of these scenes in the CM trailer. Nothing to give us an idea of what makes her different as a character from other heroes, nothing to define what her movie is going to be like. That's what makes it seems like such a generic sci-fi action movie.
The weird thing is, this teaser actually feels like some of the teasers for earlier DCEU films like MOS or BvS. Concentrating more on cool shots and loud music. Whereas the teasers for Aquaman and Shazam feel more like MCU trailers.

Looks bland and uninteresting Nolan fans will love that. yeah, because telling a story in reverse order while maintaining a cohesive narrative flow is totally bland and generic

I wrote this elsewhere, but it really looks like Green Lantern (’11) to me. But what do I know? I liked the look of the trailer, at least, even if the Blockbuster pan was way too in-your-face. By the by, is that a “thing” now? Showing a Blockbuster is supposed to be interesting? Oh dear.
At least it looks better than Shazam, which looks dreadful.

It looks alright, it ain't particularly great or bad. I wouldn't say it looks as good as the Aquaman trailer but it's probably better than Shazam trailer.
No jokes though, so that's a good sign for now.

So are you saying every CBM movie has to be like Logan? Every trailer should be like Logan's? How you think the use of that track in the trailer is some form of progress puzzles me. The track suits THAT particular film. Your initial post was about how Logan stands out because it didn't use "generic music". Well neither have many MCU trailers, Suicide Squad, Watchmen etc....they chose tracks that fitted the trailer. In that respect Logan did nothing new or progressive. The film may have been a different type of CBM movie, but the trailer and it's use of music wasn't
