Both domestic and worldwide?
On one hand, it's not the first major female superhero movie anymore so it won't have that novelty like Wonder Woman. On the other hand, it's an MCU movie which generally makes more money than DCEU movies. What do you guys think?

I don't really pay attention to box office.
Some of my All Time favorite films were flops.

On the other hand, it's an MCU movie which generally makes more money than DCEU movies. What do you guys think? Can Captain Marvel top WW's box office? Of course! It has 3 major things going for it!
1) It has the same thing WW had going for it in that its a solo female super hero who kicks ass, so "FEMINISM GIRL POWER!"
2) Its MCU! nuff said. Even if it blows, its going to get love because its MCU. MCU can do no wrong, so = love.
3) Its coming out in March against... NOTHING! Like Black Panther it will have no competition whatsoever for weeks, maybe even months!
Now, I'm not poo pooing Black Panther, I like that movie very much an am very happy for its success. But that movie made way more money that it would have had it gone up against other big blockbusters like come out during the summer season, where every weekend it has to go up against something else people want to see. BP had NO competition and Captain Marvel will have the same advantage.
I'm going to predict 550 mill domestic.

Unless you count Incredible Hulk and the Scott Buck properties.

Yeah because March release date, it'll still feel like the first huge 'summer' movie of the year.

It'd probably do that or even it's better than the trailer suggests, probably $600M. Respectable enough.

It probably will.
Particularly if Captain Marvel is a true empowered female character played by a woman who was cast because she could act, not because she looked like a lingerie model. Think Ripley in Aliens.

Not sure domestically.
In the foreign market I think it will...The last 8 Marvel films beat WW overseas (with the exception of Ant Man & Wasp which is not far behind it). In fact bar the first 5 and Ant Man films, all the MCU films beat WW. It was also the worst performing DCEU film overseas with the exception of MoS.
It seems Marvel is a more popular brand abroad so I think it will do better. Of course it does depend on the films reception, but then again even the worst received DCEU films beat WW.

Think Ripley in Aliens. indeed I was very impressed by Brie Larson's continued expression of indifference in the trailer. One-note acting is all the rage today. So like Ripley in Aliens.
I notice you keep being intimitated by sexy women, cupcake, I hope masturbating to Cap Marvel's lingerie helps you sleep at night. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/s8tffwvq1/cheers.gif)

Brie Larson - Acadamy Award winner for best Actress. Thanks for playing, Ace! Any other embarrassingly stupid things you’d like to say? ...

I guess you expect her to give a Oscar-worthy Room-performance from what we see in the trailer? Looks more in line with her cringe-worthy vapidness in that Kind Kong movie. She seems just as bored in the MCU film, who could blame her though?
But naive hope dies last, cupcake.
The most intelligent thing you ever uttered here. A model for future correspondences?
Don't let those Ackbars dance off you into the ground, cupcake.

I suggest you avoid guessing, champ. You’re not very good at it. All you end up doing is beating up your own strawman. ... kinda like punching yourself in the face ... and laughing about it. Quite possibly the most intelligent thing ever uttered on this form. When someone is hard at work, punching themself in the face, I’d rather step aside and just let them go to town. Please, by all means, continue! ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif)
