That's not too long then, I just started watching Iron Fist Season 2 today so by the time I finish that it'll only be a few weeks.

It's so dark. Are we sure it's not from the DC Universe?

It's so dark. Are we sure it's not from the DC Universe? This is troublesome to me. These are street level heroes so by definition their stories are going to be more gritty than the films, but would it kill these heroes to smile once in a while? (Not you, Brie Larson. I don't want to be accused of sexism here.) The Netflix series started dark and only got darker. Daredevil seems like a headcase now. Punisher is Punisher, Jessica Jones has had the main villain killed at the end of each season (one of them was her mother!), Iron Fist is now a mystical gunslinger and Luke Cage has become a mobster. Any one of these stories on their own is fine, but the overall tone of the Netflix universe is starting to become rather negative. To be clear, I don't want Daredevil directed by Taika Waititi, I'm just saying it's odd that the Netflix universe seems to have forgotten the 'hero' part of superhero. I can watch Breaking Bad any time, I don't need all of my protagonists to be villains in their own right.

I think the tone of Daredevil and Jessica Jones have been perfect for the most part. The shows aren't perfect, but the tone is. Luke Cage and Iron Fist should be a bit more fun to watch, though. And when you take all of your heroes and turn them into anti-heroes at the same time, you get comics in the 1990s, which were as bad as it gets for the medium.
