So this retard doesn't want the government to have the basic details about it's citizens? Fuck paying taxes and all that, right?

I have been following this the past few days from Meghanad's twitter handle.
I don't really know how this bill even got passed. There was not even a whisper from the mainstream media. Most of the criticism was in tweets of this guy, online media outlets like Pragati and Swarajya.
I think this bill will be repealed sooner than later. And Arun Jaitley's days are numbered as Finance minister. He is seriously bringing a bad name to the PM with bills like this one.
That being said I now finally say demonetization has been a failure. I give it 30/100. That 30 points are for unintended good side affects like increasing financial literacy among the masses.
Modi is looking more and more like populist demogougue than business-friendly right of center personality we elected a couple of years ago.

I wouldn't even trust this particular author because he clearly is anti-Modi.
This is very misleading. Huge difference between 50 days of DeMo and this bill. He is making it look as if PM has passed this bill, when it's finance ministry who did that. What's with the unnecessary reference to 2019 general election? I would rather wait for neutral sources to comment on this.

So this retard doesn't want the government to have the basic details about it's citizens? Fuck paying taxes and all that, right? Do you know how much income tax authorities hound common citizens? And the bribery involved? If Modi wants citizens to bring more people to voluntarily pay taxes, how about reduction of tax rates? Do you realize this is going to hamper investment? This is draconian law to generate govt revenue, by fucking people up. Mind you, they rape people who are apolitical, not those with polit8cal connections.

I must be a real political pundit coz it took me seconds to realize that demonetization was a terrible move which wouldn't produce the "advertised" results. I also knew Anna Hazare was a hack and the Lokpal thing was useless bullshit.

And success of DeMo, as I have always pointed out, is subjective. As apparent from UP results, it was successful for all practical purposes. And secondly there is still huge scope for improvement. The decision itself was not bad, but had it been followed by a path-breaking budget, things would have been different. Like i said, there is still scope.

I knew that lokpal was useless coz it was just adding more people and rules into the system and this time people with only "percieved" qualifications or support as opposed to the existing politicians, bureaucrats, judiciary and other government servants. I knew demonetization wouldn't work because it was based on the let the innocent suffer so that guilty may be punished and so it was against my basic ethics. Ironically, I am a person who would get the most advantage most served if black money didn't exist considering all of my parents and my assets are declared and yet I don't think I've been as outraged by any government action. Modi has never struck me as a person who has a real opinion or personality of his own which is why he has worked so well as a brand. People makes jokes about MMS being a puppet but at least he showed a bit of emotion when defending things that he seemed pressured to do. I have no clue as to the nuances and histories of the politicians and what not and don't follow politics much but the above seems simple logic to me.

I have no clue as to the nuances and histories of the politicians and what not and don't follow politics much but the above seems simple logic to me. Just for the record, nobody supported Lokpal. Most of the outrage during those days was against "corruption", not exactly for "lokpal". Everybody knew it was nothing more than a parallel government and very retrogressive. No wonder it wasn't passed. First of all, you didn't even get the context behind what I said about DeMo and why I said that. It was sorta negative reinforcement to get govt to do something. That "innocents" are certainly benefitted from demonetization. Just like we were planning to buy a flat which was 1 crore but now came down to 70 lakhs. Now we could comfortably buy it. There are so many middle-class like our family. They all stand benefitted. Also the plot rates are down. Even lower-middle class could afford to buy a plot of land. The only reason why I said DeMo failed was because it wasn't followed up with more reforms, which could still be done. I don't agree with you, when you say it failed.
