Please recommend any full length horror films available on YouTube.
I'm doing the October Challenge, but am dependant on DVDs cropping up in local charity shops for first time viewings.
A list of available old or new horror films on YouTube would be grand for finding free FTVs I may not have seen.
Cheersđź‘Ť

I don’t watch many via YouTube but that’s a good idea. I’ll let you know if I find any.

I will keep posting in this thread as I come across them. If you feel any particular video quality should be minimimum standard then let me know so. Some o these you might have seen already. But if I keep posting over the coming days then you will find some that you have not seen.

@fjh
I very strongly recommend this classic horror from Japan. It is based on famous folk take of Yuki-Ona (Snow woman/ Snow-witch). Top class movie that you would surely enjoy. It has English subtitles.

Give Martin a go if you haven't already. I recently snagged the DVD but the whole thing is up on YouTube and it's one of Romero's best.

Cheers everyone 🍻
This will ensure myself, and others can meet our FTV quotasđź‘Ť
Probably a good idea to have a horror films available on YouTube thread on the board, regardless of the October Challenge anyway.

Lots of free horror movies available on TubiTV.com, uncut but with commercials. It took me over two hours to watch Dolls on there last year. To watch a movie that is an hour and 17 minutes long. I'd use it as a last resort, honestly.

It’s a masterpiece. archive.org/details/GhostwatchI saw Ghostwatch on youtube last October for the first time and was sort of amazed. I couldn't believe I had never seen or even heard of it before. It's kind of the closest thing to Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio broadcast that has been achieved since then. It was really cool, and very well put together. I could see how if you were young, impressionable, or extremely gullible that you might second guess your better judgment if you'd seen it live and didn't know what to expect beforehand. It's kind of a fascinating piece.

It's kind of a fascinating piece. ”Fascinating” is the optimal word—happy to see another fan! It’s shockingly well-done. I love how they “debunk” the haunting right before we find out it’s real. The plot-design is brilliant. I knew, of course, that it was all fake going in, but it’s just so convincing, and they got so many serious, sober people to star in it. Every time I watch it I’m impressed. And it is actually is pretty scary, especially towards the end when Sarah Greene goes into the cupboard under the stairs. I don’t think it’s on YouTube any more, unfortunately, but I’m happy to see it’s on Internet Archive. And it’s much better than its most celebrated progeny, The Blair Witch Project.

Kronos is the better of the 2 but 7 Golden Vampires is cool as f too and has tits.

It's kind of a fascinating piece. I watched it long after the original broadcast as well on youtube which fits well for this thread. It is well done and creepy even tho the hosts are not always that convincing. It was fun catching glimpses of pipes the ghost. I really wish I could have seen it live when I was young enough to wonder if I was really seeing a ghost. Numerous posters on the old site told me their experiences watching live. Many of them bought in fully. One guy said he and his brother were home alone and were so sure Pipes was coming they made dozens of crosses out of cardboard and put them on all the doors and windows. That type of fear would be awesome to experience.

I thought the least convincing performance was, what’s her name, the parapsychologist they had on screen. And the skeptic-scientist guy might have been playing it a little broadly. By the way, apropos of this thread and your avatar, The Black Cat is available on Internet Archive.
