this one was such a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed it. Laughed out loud a lot.
It would have been better without two jokes that were too physical, and there was one redundant drama moment toward the end, and some sterrotypes here and there, but other than that there really wasnt a bad moment.
High score on the enjoyment and entertainment level.
I highly recommend it as an easy, fun relaxing well funy movie.
Anyone here saw it yet?

I don't think that it made it over the pond...maybe I'm wrong. Tiffany Haddish gives a good impression....Kevin Hart not so much.

The trailer looked like shite to me. Now you have gotten my interested piqued Nora . it perhaps is not for everyone. this is how i would decide if I were you: 1. do you like Kevin Hart and his style of acting? because he does his classic shtick here. So if you dont enjoy him elsewhere this is not for you. 2. Do you like Tiffany Haddish? If you like her, love her, or are ok with her but wish she took things down a notch then this is perfect for you. Except of two scenes she is pretty "civil/believable" in it and as such I really enjoyed her. 3. Do you like the directors ( Malcolm D Lee) previous work? Girls Trip, Barber Shop, The Best Man, Soul Men etc? If you didnt love his stuff or just liked it, this may be pleasant for you. Now here if you LOVED his previous stuff you may be disappointed as this one is a slight deviation, for one he didn't author it, two, he used a different ratio of black/white characters than in most of his movies and three, he used like 6 writers on the script, and 3 of them are VERY good, with some really good comedy writing under their belt, tested both on fans and critics. So the humor is slightly different than his usual stuff I feel. I want to say its a BIT smarter, but its not that simple as lot of the good result is due to the acting skills and the directorial decisions made. 4. Do you like physical/juvenile comedy? If yes, youll enjoy it. IF not, this may not be for you. 5. oh and also there is a great dancing scene if you are into that. I rarely laugh out loud at the cinema repeatedly during one film, and here I laughed out loud at least ten times. sure most of it is Harts comedy, and the rest of it my ability to enjoy juvenile and physical humor. Plus I really enjoyed all the (not so) slight jabs at "is this really racist/is this ok for a black guy?". Would love to know if those particular jokes were written by one of the black writers or one of the white ones. I went in expecting something stupid and boring, and came out highly entertained. by a silly movie, sure. but highly entertaining for me. I could even see myself seeing it again, even if just for the "pubes" and "christian chicken" and "broken rearview mirror" scenes, that I thought were hilarious. I am laughing remembering them just as I type it. THAT has not happened in a long time. I could So see myself in one of those scenes. Wont say which one though

I am going to see The Predator on Tuesday all being well. Have zero expectations and the reviews and opinions—even your own—haven't been favorable. I don't get why the makers of these Predator films haven't twigged that the success of the first one was also due to a big action star, who was a big drawcard. I guess though, they just don't make action stars like Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme anymore.
good luck with the predator. i think you will find Some scenes enjoyable, but overall its a big letdown. i say as a person who enjoyed Predtors vs Aliens even.

Same here. Really enjoyed it. Thought it was going to be like ride along/central intelligence but actually thought it was funnier.
The group dynamics were the best. Carrie, Theresa, Jaylen and Rob Riggles character. The ending was cliche but didn't care considering how much I laughed during the movie.

And how " woke" Jaylen was with random things that set him off. Jaylen: What's this? You know how I feel about robots! Riggle and his laundry day. Theresa's blessed moments. Teddy: there's no h in my name. And teddys dad Keith David was funny 😂 . Could quote this movie all day. Any standout scenes for you?

When Jaylen was taking the test and telling the computer something like "ok robot, I am gonna show you something today" I kinda enjoyed Stewart with the baseball bat scaring the kids I loved the scene where Teddy is asked to pray with the christian chicken people and the woman next to him is grabbing is hand really hard. When he wants to call the driver behind him a name but doesnt have the rearview mirror to look him in the eye. That one honestly cracks me up even now. The montage of everybody studying was pretty funny. Teddy coming home to se his fiancee in the underwear and trying to decide between sex and studying. the whole debate on whos pubes those are. remind me what was Riggles laundry day??

Lol you're gonna die now you made a big mistake. That restaurant scene was funny. The laundry day was when he rocks up wearing orange/yellow and everyone else is wearing black.
