Thanks for sharing that cjdull76. I am looking forward to seeing the show and am very interested in seeing all the female DC characters they have said are going to guest appear in episodes 'cause apparently there are going to be a lot.

Plus it seems to not be taking itself too seriously, which is a good sign.

Looks good but why is it animated when the other tv shows are live action? Couldn’t they afford to get Margot Robbie to play Harley in a tv show? I'm smelling something fishy here.

You really need to ask that? Netflix couldn't afford to get Robbie to play Harley on a live action show right now, she's way too big and TV takes a fuck load of time, animation can take a fraction of the time for the actors, but im sad because I could of swore Robbie was meant to be voicing Harley for the show, not Kaley Cocochacho, and she was meant to be producing also but again that's Cocopuff again, wtf is going on here?
But animation makes sense, it's meant to be an adult comedy so you can get away with much more in animation, I mean Animaniacs a "kids" cartoon got away with making a fingering joke back in the day because of it.

Yeah. I have to agree with Dazz here. As much as I would have liked a Live Action TV show with Margot Robbie more it would be a lot more expensive for them to make than an animated 'Harley Quinn' TV show but I kinda disagree with you Dazz about her being too big for TV 'cause The Rock stars in a TV show called 'Ballers' which I believe is up to its third or fourth season now and Dwayne is one of the top 5 highest paid actors in the world and gets paid something like 3 or 4 times as much as Margot Robbie to appear in movies and then you have 'Big Little Lies' starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman and Reese was one of the highest paid actresses in the world around a decade ago so I think if TV shows can afford them they could afford Margot in a Live Action show but it would just be more expensive. I do remember reading Margot was going to play the voice and it was on some articles when the show was announced but it doesn't appear that way now and maybe she turned it down 'cause it conflicted with her movie schedule or something. I am surprised they didn't get Tara Strong. I mean they could have done a Live Action show with her.

Well difference is The Rock is a workaholic, his work ethic is often a talking point on movie or TV related discussion shows, he doesn't take downtime he just cranks out content constantly, Witherspoon like you said was a big thing over a decade ago, also both are reduced season shows, about 10 a season for Ballers & 7 for the other one, Harley Quinn was signed up for 26 episodes, and actors get paid per episode, and more episodes means less time for other stuff.
Also consider genre BLL is what a drama and Ballers is a drama-comedy, HQ however is a comic book show, that means shit load of special effects and make up, costume designs and sets, you know far more expensive, probably too expensive because you have to think if you are doing a show with Robbie as the lead you cant be CW level cheap, people would be expecting more along the lines of Daredevil or GOT money per ep.
Which is why it not being Live action doesn't surprise me, and why I thought Robbie may have still been doing the role in voice because like I said it's relatively quick and easy to do, and if you aren't going to get Robbie I don't get why they cat Kaley because voice over wise she means dick, you don't add your voice you do Harley's voice so why get someone like her, and give her an EP credit, why couldn't Tara Strong keep doing the voice?

I guess they feel star power will sell the show. Even though Harley Quinn is already an established and popular character that post people will tune in to watch regardless of who is doing the voice.

That would make sense for LA or if it was aimed lower but I mean look at animated shows when does a famous actor really help with that? Macfarlane does pretty much all the important voices on his shows, does Rick & Morty have big names?
If Harley was meant to be aimed for kids I think it would make sense because Kaley would be great to do shows and appearances where people would know who she is and she could easily be used to attract fans that way, older audiences I don't think will give a shit.

Yeah. You bring up a good point about The Rock being a workaholic but unlike a lot of other actors in Hollywood who only work on a few movies a year The Rock had to wrestle multiple matches a week on Raw, Smackdown (in its early years) and house shows when he was a full time wrestler and that is not counting the monthly pay per views so he would be used to working more than others and being a wrestler especially one who was often on the microphone and in character would have helped him a lot with his acting skills and helped develop him as a star. Before he left WWE The Rock was one of the biggest names in wrestling and a lot of people who didn’t even watch WWE knew who the Rock was ‘cause he had made such a big name for himself and WWE had pushed him as their top star.
Funny enough, I remember a lot of people thought his movie career would flop when he appeared in ‘The Mummy Returns’ or it was going to be a short term thing like Hulk Hogan and Goldberg’s movie careers and he would return to WWE in no time and it did look that way at one point when he was in a few failures like the movie adaption of the ‘Doom’ video game but The Rock picked himself back up again and now he is one of the biggest actors in the world. I am surprised over how successful he has been but I am even more surprised Steve Austin’s career didn’t take off the same way ‘cause he was similar to the Rock in many ways and was good on the microphone but he made a number of movies in the leading role including one with Laura Vandervoort and they weren’t big hits and his career just didn’t go anywhere after that.
I didn’t realise ‘Bailers’ was that short and I have never watched the show but that probably explains how they are able to pay the Rock since it is not a 22-24 episode per season show like ‘Supernatural’ for example and the ‘Harley Quinn’ show has a lot of episodes but some animated shows have heaps of episodes a season and the newest season of ‘Pokemon’ (Season 21) has 47 episodes and the final episode of Season 21 was episode 1037. Animated shows are cheaper than live action shows so they can have more episodes and they can do things in animated shows that would cost networks a lot of money to do in live action shows. Drama and Comedy TV shows are usually a lot less expensive than comic book shows ‘cause they don’t have to pay for all the things you mentioned but I don’t think a TV show like Harley Quinn would require that much unless they made Poison Ivy a season regular.
With Poison Ivy they majorly powered her down in ‘Gotham’ though and while I liked Maggie Geha’s portrayal of the character she didn’t have half of the powers she was meant to have which was kinda disappointing ‘cause she is one of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe and having her at half power with her ability to control plants would have made her very dangerous and it would have been interesting to see how they would have dealt with her. Poison Ivy being so powerful is why she should be used in a movie and if the sites are right about Black Mask not being the only villain in the ‘Birds of Prey’ movie I think they should have Ivy in it too at full power ‘cause it would be fun to see her with giant mutant plants that eat people, vines wrapping people up and killing them and the city being transformed into a forest.
