Also rumored is that they will be adding a new character named Warlock.
TEXT:
Kinberg is making his directorial debut with Dark Phoenix, but he's also involved with The New Mutants as a producer. When asked whether or not that movie will be R-rated, he had this to offer.
"It's the kind of movie that could go R, or it could be a hard PG-13. As I was saying before in terms of sub-genres or the genre, it is obviously teased as a horror film, and most horror films these days are R-rated, but it stars a very young cast, so we'll see. It really is what the movie wants to be. The studio is open to either rating... Traditionally, superhero movies are PG-13 other than Logan and the Deadpool movies, and generally, horror films are R-rated, so we'll see where this one falls. It is a very scary, edgy movie."

It would appear that Fox has to reconcile its fear and its desire --- before dying. They're in the endgame now. Will they close their storied studio's legacy on a note of conviction and artistic integrity or, will they let mealymouthed, hedging sleaze like Kinberg continue to speak for them?

I only care for R if it revolves around fake looking splatter and gore effects. If it's about f-bombs and nudity, not so much.
But R sounds more fitting, especially as this should sport visceral violence on Logan-level.

But R sounds more fitting, especially as this should sport visceral violence on Logan-level. I've cursed like a sailor since I was real young. It's the product of having High School students and Elementary students use the same bus when I was young. And even I during Logan went you know maybe they are going a little overboard with the cursing. Just because you can you don't have too. My friends all did a double take when I said it. It wasn't grossly out of hand but it was edging toward it. Don't get me wrong Logan would be the guy in real life dropping f-bombs. I agree with you with New Mutants. I hope its for more visceral shots. I hoping Kinberg and Boone is pulling a James Wan. After viewing Saw he realized he made a pg-13 horror movie. So he did some reshoots to add more gore.
