Thoughts on the show?
Wasn't crazy about it; felt much more like a throwaway, skippable house show to me than Greatest Royal Rumble. Best match on the card far and away was AJ/Joe, which was the only thing I would consider PPV-quality work. Honorable mention to the Cruiserweight title match for at least pulling in a crowd that seemed disinterested for large portions of the show.
But the rest wasn't great. The Bryan/Miz finish felt really out-of-the-blue and poorly executed to me. In addition, I found all the tag matches really plodding and sort of boring, especially the Cena and Shield matches, which seemed extra phoned-in. The Rousey six-woman tag was the best multiperson match on the show.
And the main event just bummed me out and made me feel old. I won't go far as "sad and terrible," but it was in the ballpark. As much as I respect the guy, I'm kinda good on watching Taker wrestle. Likewise for HHH. And I really have no desire to see my favorite of all-time, HBK, sell out to dirty Saudi money and wrestle at half-speed in some underwhelming, borderline embarrassing tag match with Hunner against Brothers of Destruction. Which we seem to be getting. So.
On the whole a substantial step down from Hell in a Cell, which I thought was a solid, fun show.

I have the show on now and I am kind of barely paying attention or I'm fast forwarding through it. I'm only really interested in seeing Miz/Bryan and Joe/Styles. The HHH/Taker match I'm only interested in seeing if they truly are going to set up an HBK return. While he's my favorite ever and in my mind the best to ever do it, I do not need to see him wrestle again.

I was at the show, and honestly, down here we were just glad to get a major event of this kind.
Yes a lot of the matches felt house showy. Yes the main event played purely on nostalgia. But there's no taking away the atmosphere that was created at the MCG last night.
