Unreservedly, these two are probably the worst of the Halloween films. But which is worse? For me, I find Ressurection to be the worse. It feels like a cheap SyFy version of Halloween. At least Zombie had a vision for his film, but that's not exactly saying much.

I don't think either is the worst of the franchise (that would be 5 or the first remake).
Between the two, I'd say Resurrection is far worse. RZH2 is a movie with ideas that is almost good, but hindered by RZ's own weaknesses (ie obnoxious rednecks, crude dialogue, and shoving his wife in everything).

Resurrection is worse. H2 at least tried to be unique and had balls to it. Though I will say Resurrection is more enjoyable on a so-bad-it’s-good level.

I'd have to agree with all the sentiments above.
Both are terrible, and indeed the worst of the series, but Zombie's Halloween II takes some chances and has its own voice. That voice and perspective that it has is genuinely awful, but at least it is actually its own.
The same can't be said for Resurrection. From the shitty generic title, to the lame generic premise, to the awful generic C list celeb stunt casting, to the weak generic aesthetic, etc. etc... Generic sums it all up. It's lazy and misguided, and reeks of studio interference. It feels like the kind of scenerario where the Weinsteins said they could get some rapper for the cast and had some other unrelated script with a stupid gimmick that they just reworked to barely fit a property they had acquired.
I know Rob Zombie hated working with the Weinsteins also, but it seemed like he got to make his films the way he wanted, at least. Even though his voice sucks, at least it appears to be his own.
The treatment of Michael Meyers may not be quite the worst thing that Harvey Weinstein did... but it was indeed bad.

Bob was no saint either, and technically Dimension was his label, so I think you could lay a lot of blame for shitty Halloween sequels (and Hellraiser and Children of the Corn) at his feet.

Resurrection is far worse. I kinda like Zombie’s H2.

Probably Rob Zombie's 'Halloween 2' even though I was never a big fan of his 'Halloween' movies. 'Halloween Resurrection' was really disappointing 'cause I liked 'H20' and was looking forward to a sequel to that movie with Laurie and her son returning but from what I remember reading Josh Hartnett turned down returning for the next movie and they had to go with a completely different script than what they had originally planned which is how we got 'Halloween: Resurrection' and it was the failure of 'Halloween: Resurrection' that killed the original franchise.

Resurrection having less votes than Zombie’s Halloween II makes me think some people didn’t realize the question was “which is worse?”.

resurrection.
that being said - the opening segment in the hospital ward was tremendous. movie went into the crapper after that.
H2 was gritty and raw. enjoy RZ's take in both movies - what i didn't enjoy is how he cast Laurie Strode - it's not the actresses fault - the 'character' was just over the top annoying and i couldn't 'root' for her. IMO RZ should have cast the character exactly like Jamie lee Curtis's in Carpenters - just a shy awkward wallflower.

That's a tough one. I loathe them both but I'll go with Rob Zombie's Halloween II because it pisses me off just a tiny bit more.

Ugh, it's like asking to choose between a gunshot or a stab wound.

I didn't like Taylor-Compton in the first one much— in fact, I didn't really like much at all about Zombie's reboot—but I loved everything about his H2 and even liked Compton this time around. I got her character and while she dark and hysterical, it all worked for me. Interesting. You hated his first, but loved his Halloween II. I can't agree with the love all for that film at all, but I respect the uniqueness of your opinion. I haven't heard that perspective before.
